Chapter 17

Susie Pov-
I was walking around in broad daylight as I flipped my iridescent button like a coin going to do my job for Roman. He needed me to go take care of this Faunus that is leaving to Vacuo. He is currently working at this book shop called Tuksons Book Trade.

Susie: Maybe I can steal a book or two while I'm here.

I finally arrived at the place. It looked somewhat dead as I look threw the window to see the man putting away books and cleaning up. I go behind the building and see a back entrance.

Susie: Cool.

I wiggle the handle a little only to find out it's locked.

Susie: Now how am I going to get in here?

I activated Mad Grit and kicked the door open as you can hear the hinges of the door break.

Susie: That works too.

I go in as I see the man look at me in fear as I kept flipping my iridescent button like a coin as I walked towards him. I then see him back away as he speaks.

Tukson: Y-your the person that works for Roman. The murderer!

Susie: That's me. Roman sent me here to finish you off since you know your running away.

He was about to leave but then I grabbed him by the foot as I brought out my makeshift knife. I covered his mouth so people don't hear him scream even though I didn't see people around here. I stabbed him in the chest and and slit his throat and stabbed the knife down to his stomach as he spewed out blood.

Susie: Dammit. I need to clean my cloths now when I get back but first...

I walk around the store and look for any books that interested me. I found a book called Lord of the Rings which peaked my interest as I put it in my jacket. I was about to leave until I heard a bell ring and look to see a girl named Emerald and a guy named Mercury. They looked around and saw me just standing their with a book in hand as Emerald glared at me.

Emerald: What are you doing here?

I walk over from behind the desk and picked up the dead body and showed them the bloody corpse. They were a little shocked at how brutal I was but their were many more brutal ways I could of killed him. I dropped the body and was about to leave but then I heard the one called Mercury call me.

Mercury: Hey we didn't really get your name?

Susie: Call me Susie.

I leave them behind as I start to walk away from the store and make my way to my apartment that I'm renting out. I sigh as I felt board out of my mind then suddenly I hear a an all to familiar bell in an alleyway. I go in and see someone I never would of expected to see.

Susie: Hey Wraith hows life cutting it for you.

He looks over to me and waves as he was about to leave with his bell but then I stopped him.

Susie: Hey maybe we can hangout some time with Me, Ghost, and Lisa and get donuts.

He looks like he's thinking about it as he shakes his head no.

Susie: Fine. But one of these days your going to come with us.

He stands their for a second not responding but then lifts up his bell and disappears. I sigh as I walk away and go back home until Roman calls me.

Timeskip-

I sat on top of a box of dust and was reading the book that I got. Then I heard Roman yell and see him talking to Emerald and Mercury.

Roman: Oh, look! She sent the kids again! This is turning out just like the divorce!

Emerald: Spare us the thought of you procreating.

Emerald and Mercury pull away from Roman as I continue to listen in on them.

Roman: That was a joke. And this... just might tell me where you two have been all day.

Emerald: What!? Agh...

Roman: I'm a professional, sweetheart. Pay attention, maybe you'll learn something.

Susie: Yeah right...

I whisper as Roman reads the paper.

Roman: Why do you have this address?

Emerald: Wouldn't you like to know?

Roman: Yeah, I would. Now where have you been all day?

Mercury: Cleaning up your problems. One of them, at least. Sadly by the time we got their one of your associates already did it but made a pretty big mess.

They all look at me as I just wave at them.

Roman: Well as you could see I already had that under control.

Mercury: Two packed bags and a ticket out of Vale said otherwise.

Roman: Listen, you little punk. If it were up to me, then I would take you and your little street rat friend here and...

Cinder: Do what, Roman?

I look up to see a women that I found out was called Cinder. I decided to ignore their interaction and continue to read my book. I soon decided to go home but then Cinder got in front of me getting in my way.

Cinder: I need you to do something for me.

Susie: You paying me?

Cinder: No-

Susie: Ok end of conversation.

I start to leave but then I feel her grab my shoulder as she activated her power.

Cinder: You will listen and do what I say.

I can feel her hand burning me but it wasn't bad. Although I had to admit she is kind of scary. Sadly though she isn't as scary as the Entity or Lisa when you call her small. I sigh and turn around to face her.

Susie: Fine what do you want?

She then takes out a photo and shows it to me. It was a picture of Ghost Face making a peace sign at the photo and his knife all bloody.

Cinder: I know you know this person. I want you to bring him here to join us.

Susie: Hmm......Fine I'll do it but if he says no then you'll have to try and convince him.

Cinder starts to leave as I sigh and leave.

Susie: This sucks.
