Chapter 13

Lisa Pov-

I sat in my room looking at the news on my scroll. I kept switching from Vale to all the places in Remnant. It seems that Atlas is in the most chaos about all the murders happening their. I decided to turn off my scroll and read my old friends journal since I haven't read it in such a long time.

Lisa: Long time no see, Ben....

I was about to open it but then the door suddenly swung open with Ruby yelling as I quickly hid the Journal.

Ruby: Hello An!!

Lisa(Thoughts): So annoying....

Lisa: Hello Ruby why are you here. Shouldn't you be with the rest of our team.

Ruby: Yeah and your part of our team so your coming with us.

She picked me up and we left the room. When she closed the door and was about to leave I bit her arm as she yelped in pain. She dropped me as I readjusted my mask and looked at her.

Ruby: Hey why did you bite me!

I didn't say anything and ran away from Ruby as she chased me to the court yard. She then  used her semblance to catch up to me. I dodge her as I ran away from her. I then see the rest of my team standing around, waiting for us I'm guessing. I rush over to them and see Yang notice.

Yang: Hey you-

Before she said anything else I climbed on her back as Ruby finally caught up with me. She looked at where I was and frowned.

Ruby: So you let her carry you but not me!

I turn my head away from her as she frowns.

Yang: Aww is my sister jealous that she can't carry little ol An?

Ruby pouts as I just held on to Yang as she carried me on her back as we left for Vale.

Timeskip-

Ruby POV-

We were walking through Vale and were going to the docks to see the the students of Vacuo or something since Weiss wanted to come here.

Weiss: The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful!

Ruby: I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much, Weiss. It's kinda weirding me out...

She turns to me and has a giant smile on her face which was weirding me out more.

Weiss: How could you not smile? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances! Parades! A tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking!

Yang: You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring.

Weiss: Quiet, you! I bet An thinks this is exiting. Right An?

I look at An she she is still being carried by Yang as she just nods slightly. We were finally near the docks as I heard Yang speak again.

Yang: Remind me again why we're spending our Friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks?

I cover my nose from the smell of the place.

Ruby: Ugh, they smell like fish!

Weiss: I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom!

Blake: She wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament.

Weiss: You can't prove that!

I turns my head to the right and see a building with shattered glass windows and police tape I went over their to get a closer look. I see two detectives and speak to them.

Ruby:What happened here?

Robbery. Second Dust shop to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle.

Yang: That's terrible.

Detective 2: They left all the money again.

Ruby: Huh?

Detective 1: Yeah, just doesn't make a lick of sense. Who needs that much Dust?

Detective 2: I don't know, an army?

Detective 1: You thinking the White Fang?

Detective 2: Yeah, I'm thinking we don't get paid enough.

I was thinking to myself until I heard An ask Yang something.

An: Hey Yang can you put me down...

Yang: Umm yeah sure.

Yang puts An down as she walks over to the police tape.

Ruby: What are you-

Before I can complete my sentence she goes past the police tape.

Weiss: An come back here!

She ignored Weiss and crouch's down to one knee. She then takes out a black glove and puts it on. She rubs here finger on the ground and I notice the blood on the ground. Then I hear one of the detectives and he comes up to An.

Detective: Excuse me little miss but I'm going to have to ask you to leave the vicinity.

She stood up and takes off the glove she had and looked at the Detective.

An: For a Detective your not very good at your job.

Detective: Excuse me.

An: Theirs blood here....

He walks over next to An and looks at the ground as his face turned into surprise.

Detective: What the, how did I not notice this?

An: Beats me...

I was surprised at An being so calm and was able to find that little blood stain. She then walks over to an alleyway as we followed her to where she was going. I look to see the detective also curious and follow An into the alleyway. She then stopped and looked at a garbage can. Their was a pause of silence until she kicked the garbage to us and what I saw made me sick. It was a dead man with his back all mangled. I looked at the others as they were in shock. I notice An just seem so calm although she had her mask on so I couldn't tell. The Detective then called some people to help escort the poor mans body somewhere else as we all felt sick.

Detective: I'm sorry you all had to see that.

He then looked at An and had a look of sorrow.

Detective: I'm especially sorry that you had to see that little girl, but thank you for finding this poor man....

An just nods not saying anything. She seemed to calm about it for her age. It was very scary. She then looked at us and spoke.

An: I'm going back to Beacon I'll see you guys around.

She started walking away but Weiss stopped her.

Weiss: We'll take you to Beacon.

I see An nod her head no as she looked at Weiss.

An: You guys enjoy yourselves I'm just not in the mood anymore.

I wanted to say something but before I did she had already left worried that she might get hurt.
