Virgil stood there taking everything in. The weight of the sword in his loose yet firm grip... the distance between him and Roman... the air and firmness of the floor beneath them. Even the lighting was taken into consideration. Blue chirped once and Virgil smiled.

Suddenly he was gone. Roman's eyes went wide as he stumbled back, Virgil's sword moments from his face. Virgil's eyes narrowed as he shifted his weight sliding his foot between Roman's pushing his enough to make his stance so weak... Virgil smirked as he tapped Roman's head with the sword and Roman fell.

"Point Virgil." Mulan laughed as Roman just stared up at the darker boy. Virgil was a lot thinner and leaner. And although he was malnutritions when he got there it was easier now to see he was quite defined. Virgil wasn't weak in any standing of the word. Mulan could see the strength in the boy even if he could not. The thing was Roman could see it too. He just hoped he wasn't that far behind. "Get up, Roman. I thought you were a man." Virgil smirked a bit as Roman pushed himself up. Right now, nothing was hurt... nothing but his pride that is. "At least I thought I made a man out of you." Roman tensed up gripping his sword tightly with narrowed eyes. "Again."

Virgil jumped back as Roman wasted no time in lashing out at him. Roman thrusted with his blade facing up and Virgil sidestepped only to bend back as Roman slashed as him right after. His stance was still choppy. He'll never beat Virgil like that. He's way too stiff... way too rigid. He's like a damn boulder.

"Virgil?" Roman frowned as Virgil flipped himself about sweeping his foot under Roman and looping it forcing Romans feet out from under him, effectively knocking him down. Virgil stood up straightening himself out before glancing over at the teacher who was smiling. "Use the sword next time." Roman could feel the air grow cold around. He didn't even realize. Virgil hasn't actually been fighting yet Roman never laid a single hit. Virgil narrowed his eyes in concern but Mulan only nodded. "Go on. I take full responsibility for any damages." Roman's heart sank. "You both are free to go all out."

"B-But Mrs..." Roman was frozen lost in the grips of fear the moment this intense blast of heat tore through the space. Virgil gripped the wooden handle tightly as he slowly lifted his head to meet Roman's terrified eyes, his hair ablaze with a brilliant blue fire. Somehow it went well his electrifying green eyes. "V-Virgil?"

"Fear is a weakness, Princey." Roman tensed as Virgil moved into a stance. "Don't tell me you're weaker than I am." Virgil smirked as he took a deep breath. "I'm scared of everything."

"I am NOT scared of you." Roman was the first to move taking any chance he could get to strike, none ever hit its mark. Virgil moved with the fluidity of water. Virgil smiled as he spun twisting himself around and behind the prince who yelled out in frustration. The yell was so abrupt and loud it startled Virgil making him jump and lose himself. Roman spun lashing out with his blade catching Virgil in of guard and before Roman could even catch himself he was staring over at the thin bead of red dripping down Virgil's cheek. "Shit Virgil! I am..." His voice caught in his throat as he watched Virgil reach up to brush his fingers over the cut. His bows knitted as he examined the blood on his fingers with a curious frown. "Virgil?" Tears brimmed at the boy's eyes and Roman couldn't even put a word to the pain in his chest just seeing it.

"Virgil. Again, please." Roman couldn't breathe. Virgil was shaking slightly as he went back into a stance. Roman knew Virgil was off his game now. If Roman... "Virgil, again."

"Yes, Miss." Virgil vanished scaring the shit out Roman, who spun around trying to find him. It was hard to focus on anything because the heat was slowly building in the room and Roman was starting to feel sick. Still, he held on to his sword and waited. He couldn't make a move yet. He had to wait. He closed his eyes and felt the movement of the air until...

Roman spun around to block just as Virgil's wooden sword sweep towards him. Virgil shifted his weight sliding his foot back and switched hand positions shocking Roman who honestly didn't think Virgil could have handled a blade, let alone been so diverse. Virgil pulled back only to lunge at Roman, making the prince dodge if only slightly. Roman went to slash at Virgil but before he could there swords met as Virgil blocked the distance between them nonexistent. Roman could see the way his fiery hair distorted the air making a tad bit hard to breathe. Roman knitted his brow sweeping his foot under Virgil, who jumped back a flipped ignoring how Roman's sword, now that it didn't have any weight holding it back, cut his arm.

Roman saw it though. And the guilt was eating at him... Part of him hated feeling bad. Virgil was doing something to him, he had to be but at the same time he ould stop the part of him that hurt seeing that he was. Worse still he didn't know which side was right.

"Slow and steady wins the race..." Roman froze under the energy that blasted through the room just at the sound of his voice twisting and warping. "Slow his speed to a snail's pace."

"Virgil wait..." Virgil smirked seeing Roman become slow. He knew won in that moment. Virgil dropped his wooden sword and slowly reached out taking Roman's sword watching how his eyes widened with a frown.

"S-Sorry... R-Roman." Virgil carefully put the sword in Roman's holster before smiling softly at him. He took a deep breath and slammed his palm straight into Roman's chest with such force he flew into the wall. It had for than one purpose clearly. One to end the battle and two...

"Are you kidding me?!" To break the spell. Virgil took a shaky breath as he felt the energy die down around him. Mulan clapped beside him as blue sang happily. "You already won! WHY DO THAT?!" Virgil went to say something but it caught in his throat so he just remained silent better anyway. Roman doesn't like Virgil talking.

"He won, Roman. Why does it matter?" Virgil looked up at the teacher to see her smiling. She messed with his hair with a slight laugh as he batted her hand away. "You did good kid. I'm proud of you. Now go rest... both of you."

Virgil nodded as he ran to get his stuff. He made it all the way out of the gym before Roman slammed him again the wall. Roman was furious. Virgil was terrified but then again what's new?

"You really are just a villain. Here I was actually worried about you and you do that shit." Roman didn't understand his own feelings. He was a total mess. Half of him was screaming because of the fearful look Virgil had in his eyes while the other half said it was a lie. He didn't know what to believe and it was only making him angrier. Plus in his mind, Virgil didn't have to do that last move. Roman could have gotten seriously hurt over a move that was unnecessary. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" The bluebird started to buzz about Roman's head angrily trying to get Roman to back off but one beastly growl from the prince shut the bird up real quick. Virgil too... who was shaking so bad Roman could feel it. "I don't know what your deal is... but i'm seriously this close to losing it." Roman shoved the boy away from him wincing himself at the sound Virgil made as he hit the ground. "Just..." Guilt and anger gnawed at him endlessly in swirls of madness. He took a step back and just shook his head trying to pull himself out of his mind. "Just stay away from me."
