Roman frowned as he stared off into the crystal clear water. He always loved this spot. It was calm and beautiful. The waterfall created a slight mist that caught the sunlight creating a near-permanent rainbow over the place. He's been coming here since he was a kid.

Remus was right. Virgil admitted to spelling him. He even explained how he did it. Roman could not ignore that even if he wanted to. His mind was muddled and that was starting to become clearer to him the less clear his mind got.

Roman's head was screaming at him to ignore it, that Virgil was clearly broken up about it all that... that it wasn't that bad of a spell... and he loved him. It was all he could think about. Every bit of him was trying to get him to walk away. But he couldn't... Remus was right.

Roman frowned as his hands clenched beside him. He had to... His body barely wanted to respond to him. The only reason he did manage to move was a simple thought. Virgil was crying because of what he is saying the spell did. The very thought that he made Roman 'fall in love with him' because of the spell broke Virgil's heart. Virgil wanted this spell broken and Roman knew that. He inadvertently flinched as the cool water hit his ankles. He had to do this. Roman took a deep breath and slowly walked into the water letting the waterfall wash over him.

"I'm a bad person!" The whole room went silent as Virgil cried out. The Vk's had started hanging out more to try and be there more for Virgil. Surprisingly it was Deceit who noticed they were all drifting apart. Emile was spending more and more time with the little ones becoming a sort of therapist friend for them. Logan was getting lost in his school work but the intellectual couldn't be happier about it. He was on par with Remus and working towards his goal to be the smartest. Deceit was spending all his time with the drama club and Remus who actually made it to his first performance the night prior. They were all happy but... Virgil wasn't. "I am bad person... a very very bad person."

"Awe... Virgil, I know things have been hard but..." Virgil shook his head cutting Emile off and making everyone frown in concern. "What's wrong?"

"I spelled Roman."  The shock in the room was palpable.

"So the reason he was there yesterday?"  Virgil nodded as Deceit narrowed his eyes. The snake sighed as he sat down beside the boy who was trying to choke back tears. "What was the spell?"

"The potion wasn't supposed to do what it did?" Logan raised an eyebrow at him as he carefully got closer.

"Do you mind explaining to me what you did? I happen to know my way around potions." Virgil sighed as he stared at the ground.

"So do I... The whole time I was with my mother she dedicated every moment to learning spellwork. It was the one thing I was sure I could do even if my anxiety was giving me a hard time." Virgil smiled but it was all to broken as the tears fell from his eyes. "I took a love spell and altered it. I even diluted it to make it less powerful. He didn't have to like me. He just had to tolerate me. To get off my back but..."

"What happened?" Virgil wanted to run. He'd seen that look in Roman. A look he still didn't understand but... it made his heart ache. He didn't understand any of it.

"He said he loved me." Logan's eyebrows knitted in thought as Emile gasped. "I just don't understand the spell was only supposed to take whatever positive emotion he felt for me and amplify it not... Not this."

"Parden me if I'm wrong but... what if it did do only that?" Virgil frowned as Logan offered a soft smile. He wasn't usually the one that consoles but this was in his department in knowledge. "What if you didn't mess up? Roman could have had feelings for you already that was amplied if only slightly leading to his confession."

"Roman said the day before that he hated me!" Deceit pulled the boy in rubbing circles on his back as Logan frowned.

"I don't do emotions. I don't understand them. Never have but I do know potions. If you say that it was only meant to amplify preexisting emotion than I am inclined to belive it did just that. If Roman truly hated you... it wouldn't have worked."

"B-But..."

"Virgil, what is it you want out of this?" Emile lulled catching everyone's attention. "You're so adamant to believe it's the spell but... What if it's not?"

"But what if it is?!" Virgil choked up as he hugged himself. "W-What if it is a-and I just get hurt? I don't even know love. I couldn't tell you if it's real or not. I just don't want to get hurt."

"Let's say no matter the choice you won't get hurt... what would you choose? What do you want?" Emile reached out taking Virgil's hand as the boy continued to cry.

"I don't know." Virgil let out a shaky breath as he looked around at everyone. "I don't know what I want. I don't even know him."

"So get to know him." Deceit whispered as he hugged Virgil closer.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm saying take the time you have now to get to know him. If it is the spell than nothing will change, but if it isn't..." Deceit smiled as he brushed the hair out Virgil's eyes. "If it isn't you see him for who he is and not that angry man."

"But what if I get too close and he just... What if I do start to like him?" Virgil shook as his mind ran rampant. "Love is weakness that's what Mother always said. Love gives you something you can lose. Something that can be used against you. Emotion make you weak. I'm already weak as it is..."

"Virgil you are far from weak." Deceit called out firmly as made Virgil look up at him. "You are the strongest I know and emotions aren't a weakness either. Besides... even if they were you have the right to be weak every once in a while. Virgil, you deserve to be happy."

"I just..." Virgil froze as he looked around to see his friends caring smiles. "Ok. I'll... I'll try."
