"Wait wait wait... don't push yourself." Deceit laughed as Remus freaked out trying to help the snake up off the chair. He's been like this since he found out Deceit was sick. Remus never seemed to leave Dee's side, which was actually a good thing considering.
"Remus, I'm fine." The prince frowned as Deceit pushed him back a bit so they could face each other. "I'm feeling better. I've got my pills. I'm fine. Ok? I promise I'm ok."
"Cassidy... the point is you weren't fine. A-And Thomas said you were dying?" Deceit's eyes went dark as he looked away. "Please talk to me. You haven't told me a thing."
"Thomas doesn't know if I was dying. In all actuality... it was only a part of me that was... but..." Remus's eyes filled with horror as Deceit looked back at him. "Remus, don't..."
"So you are dying? Cassidy!"
"No, Remus. I am not dying... not anymore." It didn't make it any better and Dee knew that. He could see the pain in his partner clear as day as Remus shook himself out of his thoughts. Remus turned to cleaning the room up instead of just standing there with his thoughts. "Remus." The snake just stood there watching the poor prince lose his mind. "Remus, stop." Remus had pushed for Deceit to move to his room at the castle just so that he could keep an eye on the snake, despite Deceit repeatedly saying he was ok now. It was clear the prince cared deeply for Deceit. "Remus, please..."
"What happened?" Remus froze up as his hands shook holding the shirt he had just picked up. "You... You were fine... b-before it all. Emile didn't affect you... h-his target was Virgil." Deceit's eyes went dark as Remus turned around to look at him with tears building in his eyes. "You were fine."
"I... I tried... to tell you." Remus's arms dropped under the weight of the words Deceit was saying. "Back at the dinner that one day. I tried to tell you but I didn't know how."
"Tell me what Cassidy?" Remus led Deceit back to his chair noticing how the snake starting shaking. He knelt down in front of him holding his hands tightly as he brushed Deceit's hair back out of his face. "What is it? You can tell me."
"Can I? Really... I mean... I tried but I just don't know how." Deceit tensed as his head started spinning. "I feel like if I do you'd leave me."
"Why would I do that?"
"Because you..." Deceit frowned as he looked away. "You want to be king so badly." Remus's eyes flashed as Deceit shied away. "I feel like... It would stop you."
"Caz I'm not going to leave you. Please, tell me. What's going on with you?" Deceit's head was in a tumble. He knew logically he needed to tell him. One because he deserves to know and two because of Deceit's health. The problem was he couldn't get a hold of his nerves. Deceit pulled Remus in locking their lips as Remus's eyes shot open wide. Deceit's body practically exploded with electricity as Remus wrapped his arms around him melting into the kiss. When they finally parted Deceit was out of breath from being so weak but he couldn't stop smiling. Remus brushed his fingers against his lips narrowing his eyes as Deceit smiled up at him.
"I'm sorry, Love." Remus's eyes widened a bit as Deceit leaned into him. "I want to tell you. I really really do but... I have something I can lose now." Remus frowned as Deceit held on to him tighter. "I didn't have that before. It was just me. Now I have you and I don't want to lose you. I CAN'T lose you."
"You won't. I promise..." Deceit jumped up grabbing his hand tightly and Remus's eyes went wide feeling the blast of energy that filled the air. "Caz?"
"Promise me." Deceit's eyes began to glow as he held on tight. "An Isle promise... bound by magic to a T. Promise me you will NEVER leave me."
"I won't..." Deceit shook his head making Remus frown in worry.
"No. You need to say it. Promise me you will never deny me. You won't ever abandon me... t-that you'll never leave me ever again." Remus tensed as Deceit started crying.
"Cassidy... I promise that I love you." Deceit scoffed as Remus used his free hand to push his face up so that their eyes met. "I promise I always will. You don't have to worry." Remus pulled his hand free has he wrapped his arms around Deceit to hold him close. "I won't ever say goodbye, Caz."
"That's not exactly what I asked..." Deceit smiled slightly as he melted into Remus's embrace. "As long as you don't pull that shit again..."
"Caz, I'm not letting you out of my sight." Remus jumped up and freaked spotting the clock on the wall. "Shoot, we're late!"
"Late for what?" Deceit sighed as he watched Remus run around the room grabbing things. He stuffed them all into this bag confusing Deceit completely as he even spotted Remus tossing in his pills. "Remus, where are we going. We can't be gone that long."
"No... I just uh... want to be prepared." Remus smiled nerviously as he threw the bag over his shoulder. "I want to make sure we have everything for before we go."
"And I told you I'm fine..." Deceit pushed himself up off the chair much to Remus's worry as he smiled. "Yes, I'm not as strong as I was before all this, but I'm not helpless."
"Caz, let me care for you." Remus pulled him in placing a small kiss on his forehead before leading him to the door. "Besides, where we're going... I just want to make sure you comfortable."
"What, why?" Remus laughed as he closed his bedroom door before pushing past his brother, who smirked knowingly at him.
"Well, you've basically moved into my room so that I can watch you and stuff... I thought that since you'd be here and stuff..." Remus smirked as he led Deceit through the halls. "You should meet my parents."
