Virgil sat there staring at the menu and trying hard not to cry. His mind wouldn't stop bringing back to that night. Roman had held him close... had touched him lovingly... had kissed him with so much feeling. He wanted that so much. He wanted Roman. He finally accepted that fact. He loved Roman. But he can't have him... He WON'T have him. He won't do that to Roman. And pushing this stupid 'get to know him' crap is only hurting him... and Virgil in the long run. It needs to stop. All of it needs to stop.

"Virgil?" The dark royal jumped at the sudden voice looking over to Emile smiling sadly at him. "Are you ok, Dear?" Emile and Remy had pulled Virgil out of his room when Patton said he hadn't left since the party. Virgil knew they were all worried about him but what was he supposed to say. 'No. I fell in love with the man I spelled to love me and now it hurts just hearing his name because I feel guilty and I don't want to use him or hurt him in any way.' Virgil sighed as he just shook his head.

"Talk to us, Babes. Patton said you closed yourself in." Remy took a sip of his coffee as he fixed his sunglasses giving Virgil time to breathe. Virgil didn't want to talk. He didn't want to do anything. "Virgil?"

"What's going on here?" A new voice entered the space and Virgil looked away. He didn't know what to do anymore. He couldn't call Deceit. He was out with Remus doing some more community service. Patton was most likely talking with Roman even though Virgil begged him not to. Virgil glanced up to see Logan looking worried. "Is there something wrong?"

"We're trying to figure it out." Remy called as he and Emile made some room for Logan. The logical one just stared at Virgil taking in his sad expression. "He won't talk."

"You have to remember he is selectively mute. If he's upset it is less likely that he will talk." Remy's eyes went wide as Logan reached over taking Virgil's hand. "It's ok. You don't have to say anything. However, Patton is very concerned... as is the rest of us." Virgil looked around at the three of them with narrowing eyes. "Patton called me when I got out of class. I only wish to know if there is anything I can do to help."

"Anti-spell..." Virgil choked out as he pulled his hand away from Logan. Logan's eyes went wide seeing Virgil shy away from everything. "I n-need an anti-s-spell for R-Roman."

"What happened?" Virgil shook his head only making Logan more worried. "Virgil, something must have..."

"Nothing happened, Logan." Virgil couldn't hold back the tears that started to fall. "I just can't do this anymore. I can't make him suffer like this."

"You aren't tho..."

"I cursed him, Lo." Virgil's voice hushed to a whisper as it cracked from the crying. "I cursed him. He isn't in control of his emotions... or what he does because of them. He's kissed me, Logan." Virgil hugged himself as his fingers brushed against his lips. "And then he... the other day he took me to this place." He could feel the smile forming at the memory. "It was beautiful. It was just so... I WANT IT TO STOP!" Virgil cried as he clutched his head tightly. "I want the spell broken. I want the pain and guilt to just end. I want him to..." to... to love me for real, Virgil thought to himself with painfully wide eyes. "The spell needs to break."

"The spell is already broken." Virgil jumped up seeing Logan looking away sadly. Emile and Remy both narrowed their eyes in confusion. Of course, Remy didn't know about the spell. Virgil tensed as Logan met his eyes with clear guilt. "I'm sorry, Virgil. I would've have told you sooner but I made an Isle promise." It was like a slap in the face. "I couldn't say anything unless it was really hurting you."

"R-Roman isn't..." Logan shook his head and all the air left the darker royal. "He isn't spelled anymore. HOW?!" The whole table flinched at how Virgil's voice warped but Logan was the only one who refused to meet his eyes. "Logan, how did Roman break it? How long..."

"A while now." Virgil's heart seemed to crash as Logan just stared at his hands. "I was never told when exactly, but I know it was before the fundraiser. Roman was really upset because he had kissed you and... I guess he thought he messed up somehow."

"It's been that long? I don't understand." Virgil was confused. On one hand, it meant Roman had truly wanted this... wanted him. That the night under the tree had been real but... on the other hand, it meant Virgil did something so much worse. He made the very prince he loved weak...

...by giving him something he could lose.

"I can't..." Virgil's expression went blank as he slowly stood up. Logan didn't waste a second following him out of the cafe while Emile and Remy just sat there in the wake of everything. Emile had a lot to explain to his boyfriend that's for sure. "Virgil..."

"HOW THE FUCK DID HE BREAK IT?!" Virgil's voice warped beyond belief as turned to look over at Logan, who flinched seeing how brightly green Virgil's eyes were glowing. "I don't even know how, yet you're saying Roman already figured it out."

"Virgil, I made a..." Logan froze up seeing the tears that fell like waterfalls down Virgil's cheeks. "There's this waterfall." Virgil's eyes shot wide as Logan spoke. "Apparently, it's a burden royal family secret. The water from the falls can break any spell or curse within reason."

"So Roman used the waterfall to break the spell?" Logan nodded as Virgil started to shake. "And if he knew about that..."

"Chances are he broke it the day you told him about the spell." Everything went cold for Virgil as he stumbled back. Logan frowned in concern as he watched the darker royal break. "This is a good thing, Virgil. It means he really does love you."

"Yeah... It does." Virgil couldn't breathe. Everything was shifting around him. He just couldn't take it. "It means I cursed him with something far far worse." Logan's eyes went wide as Virgil took off running. He ran all the way back to his dorm finding blue asleep in his nest. Virgil started grabbing things left and right before he pulled his mother's spellbook off the shelf. "Blue, come on." The little bird woke up glaring over at Virgil until he spotted the tears and tensed up. "We have work to do."
