~Travis' POV~
Her mom.
Dammit, Eva needs to live to see this.
Rushing out of the lift, Xya was perched standing outside of the doors.
"What are you doing, we need to go." I say to her, stopping in front of her.
"We need to tell these people to stop all of this. Arcane, you need to tell that lady down there that none of this exists." Xya explains, watching the man who held on to his love he lost so long ago.
"Okay," He said, nodding in agreement. "Go to Evanjaline, keep her conscious." He tells Tauriel.
"Travis, will you help her?" Xya asks me, her hand grazing over my arm.
"Sure," I say, holding my hand out for the new addition mermaid. She took a hold of me and we exited the NOAA building together.
I turned back to see Xya whispering in the ears of some scientists who were still laying on the floor of the room we just left, bringing them back to full awareness and telling them all to leave.
I walked with Tauriel to the cars where Eva lays in Harry's lap in the back seat of mine.
"How is she?" Tauriel asks, placing her hand on Eva's forehead. My best friends eyes were closed, her hair fanned out.
"She's breathing, that's a good sign." Harry answers. "She's mumbling words, though. I can barely make them out."
I leaned in to hear her parted lips make soft words.
"I want the water." She barely whispers.
"She says she wants the water." I inform. Zayn pops up behind me, his hand coming down on my shoulder to see into my car and take in the scene of Eva and Harry.
"Maybe you were right, Travis. Maybe a ocean cleanse will be good for her." Zayn says.
"She needs better water in her system." Liam interjects. "I think."
"I think so, too." Tauriel hums. She slides in next to Harry, her hand stroking Eva's hair away from her face. "I always prayed this wouldn't happen to her."
"How is it that you're okay?" I ask Eva's mom.
"The chemicals they started with when I showed up was weak, I grew accustomed the stronger they made it. But throwing another in with the chemicals as harsh as they were without any warning, any build up to how much it would be, it hurt her chances of survival." Tauriel's voice became a whisper towards the end.
"That makes sense." Niall mumbles. "Can we leave, though? Get her to the ocean."
"We can't leave Arcane and Xya." I said with a shake of my head. "I'll never hear the end of it. Trust me."
"Will she be okay long enough for them to finish, and the ride?" Harry asks.
"Maybe, the chemical in her body is away from the ones in the water so the charge isn't there. She'll survive longer now that she's out. But I can't guarantee anything." Tauriel says, sighing. "How many of you are merpeople?"
"Well, out of all of us right here, right now," Louis says. "Only you and Eva."
"You're all humans?" She asks, her face turning into one of doubt instead of worry as I would've imagined.
"Yeah," Harry nods. "We didn't find out that they- you guys existed until tonight, when Evanjaline showed us."
"She showed you?" Her moms asks. "Why would she do that?"
