I lay comfortably on my side and rolled over, noticing only a minute later that the movement should've had me falling off of the bench windowsill that I fell asleep on and to the cold hard wooden floor.

My eyes fluttered open, curious to see where I was. I stared up at the ceiling, then rolled my head to the side to see Travis' face close to mine, eyes closed and fast asleep, laying on his side. Did he carry me to bed?

I looked over at the time and it was still pretty early, the time only being 7:32 am. I wonder what we would be doing today? Maybe he'll let me go swimming for a bit. Maybe he knew somewhere private! I am not going to swim in the ocean. Yes, it is very large, but my father and the clan is circling Australia, the waters here being what we called our temporary home. We travel because the reefs are alive. They grow and extend. When one reef outgrows our needs or satisfaction, we travel to others. I might meet one of my people if I swim in the ocean. And I don't want that.

I closed my eyes and without thinking about him, Harry's face came up on the inside of my eyelids.

His perfectly sculpted and angular face was tinged pink. I was seeing the time when he saw my bare chest and his beautiful face was almost child like as he looked like he saw something that he shouldn't.

I opened my eyes and watched a rainbow dance across the ceiling. I tilted my head and my eyebrows met, them being scrunched at the middle.

I looked at where the sun was shining in through the window and my eyes immediately landed on something clearly made of glass.

It was perfect and well shaped, wires wrapping around it in directions that looked random, but came across as a criss-cross design, a strand of leather holding the pendant as a necklace. The glass was clear and in the perfect shape of a heart.

It hung up on the corner of the top shelf on Travis' wall.

It was beautiful. I sat up in bed carefully, trying to get a better look at the rainbow-throwing object.

A groan came from the sleepy boy beside me. When I sat up, I accident pulled the blanket down to expose his chest to the cold moist air.

"Holy shit, it's freezing." He muttered sleepily.

"My apologizes." I answered, still looking over at the necklace. I shoved the blanket back up his body until it reached his chin.

The necklace had a pull coming from it. A strange and weird pull. I crawled off the edge of the bed, freeing myself of the messy blanket and walking over to it.

"Pretty, huh?"

I nodded, watching the sunlight dance on it. "It's beautiful."

"My grandpa found it-"

"Travis, are you awake?" A soft voice asked from the other side of the door.

"Yeah, mom. Come in."

The door creeped open and Jennifer stepped inside. "Good morning."

"Good morning." Travis and I answered at the same time.

My gaze dropped to the floor as I saw the menacing dark blue/purple mark that spotted along her cheek bone. Her eyes looked puffy and I guessed she cried herself to sleep.

"How are you?" Travis asked, his voice sounding like he tried to keep from exploding.

"I'm okay." His mother answers.

"No, your not." He turned his head away and closed his eyes. "You should've let me beat him more, mom. He shouldn't haven't gotten away with doing that to you."
