Rose Miller, her given name is Rosalie. She doesn't use it anymore.

She has long mousy brown hair. She travels and tries to find a place where she belongs.

She lived for more than a hundred years. As a vampire, she has a different view of the world. This is Rose Miller, and this is her story.

Rose looks out of a window in the big two-bedroom apartment.

'How long do you plan on staying this time?' Damon asks. He is a childhood friend; there is almost no one that she has known this long.

'I don't know. Maybe a little while longer. How is Stefan?' She asks. Stefan is his younger brother.

'Don't know, don't care. You always know better where he hangs out anyway.' Damon says and refills his glass with more bourbon.

She turns to face him: 'You know I haven't seen him since the twenties.' She thought of reaching out. She misses him, but does he feel the same? She doesn't think so.

'True.' He takes his jacket. Rose takes her purse and follows him into the hallway.

He gives her a look. 'Where do you think we're going?' Damon asks sarcastically.

'A bar.' She answers: 'Is there any other place you go to?'

Rose sits at the bar with a glass of red wine. It's not her usual choice. It will do. Damon is flirting with a woman on the other end of the bar; she is used to it. She comes along to be out. Her phone rings: 'She sees John's name on the screen and wonders why he is calling. He never has good news; mostly, he is in trouble. 'This better be important.' It will be.

'It's about my sons.'

'What's wrong?' He never talks about them. She knows he has two. She didn't need to know anything else about them. John doesn't know why, but he respects it. Until now, which means it's serious.

'They're about to walk into a trap. Yellow eyes found out that I was getting close. Someone is there to capture them.' John explains.

She was right, yellow eyes.' Text me where they are, and I'm on my way.' She empties her glass and looks at Damon.

The text comes in.

She texts Damon: 'I'm on a hunt.' He knows what this means he'll have the apartment back to himself.
