My bright yellow rain boots hit the huge puddle underneath my feet, making the dirty water slosh up against my sweatpants. My hair sticks to my forehead as the rain continues to fall, feeling like little rocks hitting my skin with how hard the clouds are leaking. I continue jumping around in the puddles, hearing the feminine laughter close to me. The sound of a shriek is heard and I whip around to see the man holding the woman around the waist, twirling them.

The woman's hair swings around and I jump out of the line of fire, not wanting to be hit by the thick, wet strands that would surely hurt to be struck with. Seeing the two of them smiling and laughing makes my own lips turn up into a large grin. The man sets the girl down onto her two feet before rushing towards me, wrapping his arms around my small waist and lifting me into the air.

"No, no, put me down!" I squeal at the man whose face is only inches from mine. Before I can react or kick him away from me, he throws me into the air above his head. My squealing gets louder until I'm back into his arms, safely out of the sky. The man holds me tight while the woman rushes over to us, swiping her finger over my forehead where an accumulation of raindrops is collecting. I catch sight of the huge diamond ring that I had been infatuated with so many times before and my little hand shoots out to grab hers.

But when my hand wraps around her finger, it suddenly disappears into a blur. The face of my mother obscures until I can't even recognize her. My head turns to look at the man that's holding me – my father – and now, his face is gone too into a blot of pale colors that I can't recognize. A scream leaves me when the arms holding me start to disappear until my body is falling onto the ground.

My back slams against the hard surface, right into a puddle that I had previously been jumping in. When I look up again, the blurred figures are gone and I'm alone. The rain is falling even harder now and it's like bee stings over my entire body. When I try to stand up, I realize that my hands and legs are tied down so I can't move. I look around, trying to figure out what I was tied to in hope that I could get away, but when my eyes scan my surroundings, the sky isn't visible and the grass underneath me has disappeared.

Instead, I'm in the back of a car with duct tape on my mouth to block my screams. My hands and feet are tightly tied together and it burns my sensitive skin whenever I try to move. For some reason, the rain is still striking my skin like BB pellets hitting my entire body, even though I'm in a covered car with no way for water to come in.

While in the trunk, I hear hushed voices coming from the right of me along with the sounds of yelling coming from outside. My eyes open wide when I hear the loudest noise I've ever heard coming from a female screaming a name. The fear and fright the noise captures make my tiny body fight against the restraints, but that only results in a huge pain in my side that sends jolts of electricity through my body. Before I blackout, the only thing I can hear is that woman screaming. "Wyatt!"

"Blaine! Blaine, wake up!" Someone screams while shaking me to get me to awaken. Before I can even think about what's going on, my eyes shoot open and my entire body goes rigid. Once I realize what's going on, I shoot up in bed while someone grabs my arms to hold them down since they must've been flailing. A sob leaves my mouth and I rip my wrists out of whosoever hands to cover my mouth.

My eyes squeeze shut when the lights are flipped on while lots of footsteps rush into my room. Sobs keep leaving my mouth while people whisper before coming towards me. "Wynter, we got it."

The person sitting behind me, assuming it's my twin sister, walks away before the bed dips down again. Arms wrap around my trembling body and someone else takes my hands in theirs. My head is pulled down onto someone's shoulder and I bury my face there to try and hide my cries. I don't have time or the focus to worry about looking weak at whoever else is in the room.
