In the morning, I slowly wake from a horrible sleep. It was spent waking in a panic multiple times in the night, but thankfully, by the time the sun started to rise, I fell into a deep slumber. But waking up in Javi's bed, I'm more confused than ever. I turn onto my stomach, touching the other side of the bed to feel that it's cold, telling me that he's been gone for a while.

I glance at the nightstand to see a note propped there. I reach out to grab it and my glasses, pushing those onto my face to escape from the blurriness that the world has become. I look back at the note to see that it's covered in Javi's handwriting.

Had to go to work. Come by around lunchtime if you want and we'll talk x – J

I fall back against the bed, holding the note against my chest before bringing my wrist up to look at my watch. It's close to lunchtime since I've slept in so long, so I decide that it's time to get up and start the day. After changing as quickly as I can, I grab my keys, wallet, and phone that're sitting on the nightstand. Had Javi gone back to the house to get some stuff?

With confusion filling my head, I walk into the living room before stopping in my tracks when I see a random man sitting on the couch with a laptop placed on his thighs. There's some movie playing on the TV, but the volume's down so low that I only hear murmurs of the dialogue.

The man glances up at me and a small smile spreads on his lips before he pushes the laptop to the side and standing. He's much taller than me and most definitely would be taller than Javi as well. He looks intimidating with his black joggers, black t-shirt, and black socks that match his dark hair that looks disheveled. He looks slightly familiar, but I can't place where I've seen him before. It must've been sometime in this house, I'm assuming.

But the smile that spreads on his lips ruin the intimidation factor. He reaches his hand out for me to shake and I hesitate before taking it, staring up at him in mystification. "You must be Blaine. I'm Dominic, or Dom, whichever you prefer."

"Oh," I say, realization dawning on me. "you're the last roommate."

"Yeah," he says with a small chuckle, plopping down onto the couch again. He presses a few keys on his laptop before shutting it and placing it on the coffee table in front of him. I take that as a cue to sit down, so I place myself on the arm of the couch, trying to make it known that I'm headed out. He doesn't even pay attention to the seat I chose. "I've heard a lot about you."

"You have?" I question.

"Yep."

"Well, it seems like Javi never shuts up," I joke.

"Oh, not just Javi," Dom says with a playful wink, making my cheeks blush rosy red. "Nathan and Chris have both told me that you're... well, let's just say that you're not the quietest guy we've had here."

"Oh, God," I whine, putting my head in my hands to hide the blush that spread across my cheeks as the words seep into my mind. Dom's chuckle penetrates my thoughts and I shake my head, urging him on even more.

After a few moments, I pick my head up since I can feel that my blush has gone down a bit. Dom waves me off with a playful grin. "You don't have to worry about it. You should hear Amanda whenever Chris brings her here, now she's the loudest guest we've had."

I chuckle, not even bothering to hide my blush even more. "Well, that's too much information."

"Nah, I think Nathan and Chris having to hear you tell Javi that you're so desperate is too much information. But, hell, what do I know?" He jokes again and I groan, hiding my face in my hands once more. "No, but seriously, we don't mind here. As long as it's not super late at night or super early, you can do what you want. We understand."
