I'm laying here
as time passes
I'm seventeen
and don't wear glasses
is that odd?
it feels that way
everyone else my age
needs them to see okay
I lied at the eye doctor
in second grade
so I could get a pair
specially made
they were blue and brown
and frankly lame
with hershey kisses
on the side of the frame
but they made me feel special
and stylish too
in the little second grade life
that I once knew
and I'm sitting now
feeling plain indeed
are hershey kiss glasses
the thing I need?
