Chapter 11 - Symbiotic Problems

Hello fellow readers! I hope y'all are enjoying the story so far, it's got quite a long way to go and I'm incredibility excited with each new chapter I write about the direction of each of the characters! But here's the part where I ask you for a huge favor! The sound of a sinister laugh was the only noise that broke the silence on that godforsaken street as Venom tested his newfound strength by picking up parked cars and breaking them in half with little to no effort. Wade watched in absolute horror as the creature took his extremely injured friend for a test drive.

What do I do now?! This creature has molded itself to fit Spidey's body perfectly! If I shoot it, dismember it or fight it in any way I'll hit him too!

Spidey said that the only thing that can separate the symbiote from the host is an electrical shock, we have some electrical grenades, we could use those!

Yes, but we would have to pull him from the symbiote once it let him go, and with his broken...well, everything, we could risk hurting him more.

Wade's eyes narrowed as he contemplated his options wracking his brain for any other half-decent plans he could implement to separate this symbiote from Spidey without hurting him. The only ideas that he would come up with would surely injure his friend more, if not finish the job completely by un-aliving him.   So for the second time that day he felt helpless and it only aggravated him more.  Now the feeling of helplessness was not something that Wade was used too.  Never before had he had any stake in the game and that made him effective and dangerous but now he had something to lose and it made him feel weak.

A groan came from next to Wade as he glanced down at the man that was lying on the ground next to him. The man had dirty blonde hair and was rubbing the bridge of his nose with his hand when he glanced up at Wade. The man pushed himself up into a sitting position and Wade noticed he was missing his legs.

"You wouldn't happen to be Flash would you?" Wade asked as he squatted down next to the man, still keeping a close eye on Venom. The man nodded a yes, he then tried to speak but his voice cracked and wouldn't seem to work quite right, Wade waited somewhat patiently as Flash tried to force the words from his mouth.

"W-who a-a-re y-you?" Flash forced out with a slight gargle still holding the bridge of his nose.

"We don't have a lot of time for introduction," Wade signaled with a thumb over to a rampaging Venom, "I'm Deadpool and that over there is Spider-Man, a very injured Spider-Man as a matter of fact and I need to get your big black friend off of him, how do I do that exactly?"

"The o-only w-way to g-get the symb-iote to release a h-host is with the serum or an e-elect-rical current," Flash said his voice finally starting to return to him, he was now staring at Venom too. "I was attacked while on patrol and drugged I believe, I'm not really sure what happened.  One second I was patrolling the city and the next thing I know everything is going dark, I think it's wearing off finally." Flash sighed with relief as he looked from Venom back to Wade.  "The symbiote cannot control just anyone, the host needs to be weak for him to fully control the subject or the host needs to accept the symbiote, like me for example."

"I realized that when he snapped my friend like a toothpick,"  Wade said with an aggressive tone not directed towards Flash but to the whole damn situation, "Now you can see my conundrum since I don't have a serum and since that thing broke his back making it virtually impossible for me to just pull him away from the evil goo monster when I electrocute him. So we are kind of in a bind here. Any other options?!" Wade said with frustration lacing his voice, a little too loud apparently because he noticed Venom had now set his sight on the two of them.  Wade turned his full attention towards Venom as he started walking in their direction but he still remained in a squat next to Flash.
