Embarrassed and just a little worried Peter sat there on a mercenaries couch half-naked with dried tears causing his mask to stick uncomfortably to his face.   In pain and ready to pass out from the day, he tried to maintain eye contact with the person sitting next to him. Well Peter, you've seen better days than this. Peter thought as he sat there waiting for a response from the clearly shocked Deadpool. Initially, Peter's plan was just to test the water to see how Deadpool would react to having to undress him, another man.  From what he could gather which wasn't much, Peter had caught him staring quite a few times which gave him hope.  Peter never expected himself to get so emotional and reveal his name to the mercenary, however, even that was a shock to him.   While in the heat of the moment Peter thought it would be nice for the mercenary to call him by his name instead of 'Spidey' all the time.  It would be a lie to say that Peter wasn't concerned that this famous killer knew his name now but he also felt that it wasn't something he regretted sharing.  In fact, it actually felt like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders. This was something he had been wanting to share with Deadpool the moment he realized he had feelings for him.  Something within Peter, however, always held him back.  Maybe it was paranoia or a self-preservation method put in place subconsciously to keep Peter distant from others for the fear of the people close to him getting dragged into his problems.  Peter liked to think he was strong enough to survive a broken heart or two, after all, he had in the past cared deeply about and even loved plenty of people who in the end broke his heart, there was something different about this.   It might sound cliche but something deep in Peter knew this wasn't a simple crush.  Peter relied on Deadpool and as much as he didn't want to admit it, he needed him more than the other man could ever understand. Nothing and Peter meant nothing was worth risking losing him over, not even his own feelings.

"Peter." The sound of his name snapped Peter out of his thoughts, his face instantly flushed a bright crimson red.  Quickly placing his mask back down over his face to try and cover up his bright red face, he glanced back up at Deadpool curious as to what he would say next.  Peter's heart was beating out of his chest, as he waited anxiously for what Deadpool would say next. Peter hoped that the mercenary didn't realize the power he now had over Peter now that he knew his name. Hearing the deep husky voice next to him say his name almost like a whisper almost sent Peter completely over the edge. The voice continued, "Wade."

"Hm?" Peter managed to hum out trying not to let his voice show his excitement.

"That's my name, I know it's kind of lame but what can I say I'm a lame guy." Wade joked.

"I like it, it fits you!" Peter said excited about this moment they were both sharing together, in his head things could not have gone better then they were right now if he tried. Well maybe we could be in a clean apartment, my back could not be broken, I could not have cried in front of him.  How lame! But this right here is perfect, well it could be better actually.  He could be holding me right now... Peter jumped out of his head and with an uncontrollable smile he said, "Well Wade, it's nice to meet you!"

Wade looked like he was shocked and Peter could feel him shift nervously under his feet that still laid across his lap. Wade didn't look away from Peter though and smiled back at him just as big.

"It's nice to meet you too, Peter," Wade said with a smile that turned into a smirk, "Can I just talk about how your name fits you perfectly? You look like such a Pete!"

"Already changing my name huh?" Peter chuckled to himself, it was funny that it seemed like it was impossible for Wade to call anyone by their names he always had to give them a nickname. Well, it was nice while it lasted.

"What can I say I have a knack for nicknames! No need to be jealous Petey." Wade chuckled.

"I don't think you can call that a nickname, your just using a different version of my name." Peter said.
