It'd been a while since Peter had spent some time with someone other than his own thoughts, and although that person was Deadpool he was thankful for the company.  After Peter felt the need to separate himself from some of his only friends he had to admit he'd been feeling lonely.  Peter was craving some more human interactions other than the silly quips he shared with his enemies.  While those were fun he felt that it was a little one-sided for whatever reason, guess baddies don't have a good sense of humor.

Peter was close with everyone on the Avengers but most of the time they spent together was when they were on missions.  Nick had offered Peter a room at Avengers Tower but with the amount of time, Peter spent juggling his college life and his superhero life he needed all the sleep he could get and with the Hulk in the same building that wasn't going to happen.

That's why the time he was spending right now with the mercenary he had only met a few weeks ago was so valuable to Peter at the moment. The silly conversations they were having, the laughs and quips made Peter even more confident in his decision to work together with this man.  Sure he had his doubts when Deadpool had first asked but he could tell the honesty in his voice, he was really trying to change.  Peter could also seriously use someone to talk too other then the people trying to kill him.

On their way through the city to the Mexican Restaurant, Deadpool had talked up to being "the best frickin Mexican food in all of the United States and even I dare say Canada." Deadpool had proudly proclaimed.   Peter couldn't help but wonder how good Mexican food could be in Canada.

They walked once again across the rooftops of the city, this was the best way of travel for suited heroes.  Civilians tended to act as if they'd never seen a guy in skin-tight spandex before, but for whatever reason whenever a super was seen walking around on ground level it tended to cause a ruckus amongst people.  So it was just easier to stick to the roofs and stay out of the way of the civilians.

Each time they would reach a break in the buildings Deadpool would wait for Peter and help him across to the other side, reaching out a hand for Peter to take. Peter appreciated the kind gestures and was proving to him that Deadpool wasn't as bad of a guy as people were making him seem.  The kind gestures however did make Peter feel like a little kid being cared for by a parent, but if he was being honest he didn't mind being cared for by someone else.  It was a nice change in pace for once.

As they walked Peter could feel his energy coming back to him, he felt his bruised muscles and the few broken bones he had near his ribs and on his nose begin to heal. Now, this was not a comfortable process for Peter by any means but he was distracted by the constant rambling coming from his new partner.  Deadpool walked next to him talking about anything and everything that popped into his head and Peter was grateful to be distracted from the painful process.

Peter as surprising as it may seem did not find this rambling annoying, he actually found it to be very soothing in a strange way. He found himself carrying a small smile on his face all the way to the restaurant. They had just finished talking about who wore the iconic red suit first and both came to the decision that it was, in fact, DareDevil who wore it first and wore it best. They were both laughing when they arrived at the edge of a building and Deadpool pointed down towards ground level.

"Okay, so this is the place huh? The Mexican food that will change my life as I know it?" Peter said still laughing slightly. "Do they allow supers inside?"

"Why yes they do! Especially since one of their best customers is a super himself." Deadpool said with a chuckle.

"I don't know about super just yet," Peter joked as he looked down at the small restaurant that sat at the bottom of a large apartment building across from them. The brick outside of it was painted yellow with a red and brown sign that read "Casa Sanchez".  The window wore a sign that flashed on and off "Open" inviting people inside with a hint of blue and red.
