The Forbidden Love

Chapter 8

~Jayden's POV~

I wandered into another pack territory without realizing it right off. I looked around and it was absolutely beautiful.

I smelt a sweet-like fire smell, tinted with a rosey smell. I suddenly got tackled. I started to fight back but the scent got stronger. A lot stronger. I looked up at the wolf. 'Mine!' My wolf said excitedly as she jumped around. I finally found my mate!

He slowly got off of me and backed away while I slowly sat up. We sat in silence for a few moments then he shifted to his human form.

"H-hi." He spoke calmly and softly. "I'm Ryder." He smiled softly. I shifted to my human form as well. "H-hello. I'm Jayden." I said shyly. I heard other wolfs and I quickly shifted back to my wolf form.

I growled lowly and backed up a bit. They surrounded me. I heard a loud snarl and my head snapped towards Ryder. "Don't touch her!" One of the wolfs snapped at me, snarling. "BACK DOWN NOW! She's my mate!" He looked at me and smiled softly.

The wolfs backed down. Ryder shifted back into his wolf form and nodded to a direction then ran off. I followed.

We got to where we were going and he shifted to human form then sat down. I did the same. He looked over at the bush next to him and picked me a rose, putting it behind my ear. I smiled and we sat in silence for a bit.

"Tell me about you. Your back story." I looked at him then looked at the water and took a deep breath. "Ok so I was original a human...but my family was sciencist and were working with animal DNA.. (which I didn't approve of) A fire was starting cuz of the test and my abusive mother died because of that at the time.. I was only 3.." I paused and took a deep breath. He grabbed my hand and held it. I suddenly calmed.

"But during that fire I came in contact with the test and my dad didn't know because the chemical mixed in with my blood.. Slowly but surely I was turning into what I am now. Because of the mutantion I was being hunted..and my dad wasn't willing to give me up to the government so he died trying to protect me.." Ryder didn't say anything. He just wrapped his arms around me and hugged me. I hugged back. "That's.. how I became a rogue.. and I've been one ever sense.."

A few moments of silence past. "A-anyway! Tell me your back story!" I smiled, very curious. "Well.. my family got killed.. I wandered on my alone, spent a lot of nights hungry and wounded until I found a pack and they took me in. I found a couple friends, the Alpha of this pack and his mate. We became best friends instantly." I looked at him and hugged him tight. He hugged back tight.

He picked me another flower and I smiled. I can't believe I had finally found my mate. He's absolutely perfect.
