SHADY: ...You said you did.

*Josh goes to the window and shuts the curtains.*

JOSH: As thirteenth in line in my own kingdom, I didn't stand a chance. I knew I'd have to marry into the throne somewhere--

SHADY: What are you talking about?

JOSH: *putting out the candles* As heir, Hawk was preferable, of course. But no one was getting anywhere with him. But you-

SHADY: Josh?

JOSH: You were so desperate for love you were willing to marry me, just like that.

*Josh crosses the room, grabs a pitcher of water from a table and goes to the fireplace.*

JOSH: I figured, after we married, I'd have to stage a little accident for Hawk
*He pours the water on the fireplace, putting out the fire. Shady tries to stop him. She falls to the floor, weak.*

SHADY: Josh. No, stop.

JOSH: But then she doomed himself, and you were dumb enough to go after him

SHADY: Please.

JOSH: *chuckles* All that's left now is to kill Hawk and bring back summer.
*He approaches Shady*

SHADY: ...You're no match for Hawk.

*He bends down, takes her chin in his hand again, this time not so gently.*

JOSH: No, you're no match for Hawk. I, on the other hand, am the hero who is going to save Arendelle from destruction.

*She wrenches her face out of his hands.*

SHADY: You won't get away with this!

*Josh rises and crosses to the door.*

JOSH: Oh, I already have.

*Josh leaves and shuts her in, locking the door. shady struggles to the door, yanks on the locked handle.*

SHADY: *hoarse and weak* Please, somebody help.

*The rest of her hair turns white and she crumbles to the floor.*
                                                       
CUT TO:
INT. COUNCIL CHAMBER -- NIGHT

*James looks out the window at the growing snowstorm. He rubs his arms and shivers.*

JAMES: It's getting colder by the minute. If we don't do something soon, we'll all freeze to death.

*Josh comes in, putting on his most distraught face.*
                           
SPANISH DIGNITARY: Prince Josh.

JOSH: Princess Shady is...dead.
                           
VARIOUS DIGNITARIES: What...? No.... Mon dieu.

*Josh stumbles, weak with grief. The men help him to a chair.*

JAMES: What happened to her?

JOSH: She was killed by King Hawk.

JAMES: Her own brother.

JOSH: *really putting an act on* At least we got to say our marriage vows...before she died in my arms.
*He bows his head in a brilliant display of teary grief.*

JAMES: There can be no doubt now; King Hawk is a monster and we are all in grave danger.
                           
SPANISH DIGNITARY: Prince Josh, Arendelle looks to you.

*Josh nods; he knows what he's being asked to do, and he'll do it with the perfect amount of authority and gravitas.*

JOSH: With a heavy heart, I charge King Hawk of Arendelle with treason and sentence him to death.
  
INT. ELSA'S DUNGEON -- DAY
*The cell ices over. Hawk looks out at the storm that is devastating Arendelle, then hears the guards approaching.*
                           
GUARD: He's dangerous. Move quickly and with resolve.
