This is a little short thing that Mintie and I wrote. We have a few more that I might share soon.

—————————————————————

There was screaming, crying, kicking and the loudest of noises coming from the Hades cabin. Sure Jesse and Nico were both trying their best to stop all the noise that was coming out of the cabin but nothing they did could stop all the racket. So they decided to insulate the cabin from the noise, placing pillows and almost anything in the gaps to make sure none of the noise came outside. But the noise was still let out.

"We need help," Jesse said.

"Mintie?" Nico suggested.

"Mintie," Jesse agreed.

The two boys went out do the cabin and to the Ares cabin, looking for the brown haired teen. They knocked on the door.

"Mints," Jesse said, hoping that she would open the door and not Clarisse. The door creaked open to reveal Mintie in jeans and her pyjama shirt, obviously not ready for the day's events. Her hair was uncombed and she was wearing glasses instead of contact lenses.

"You look horrible," Jesse notes, Nico slapped the back of his head.

"Anyway Mintie. We need your help," Nico said.

"You're not funny Jess. Anyway, whatcha need?" She asked, yawning after the sentence.

"We need help with Shades. Something happened, she's not telling us. She's screaming and crying. She kicked Jesse in the place where the light never shines," Nico said while Jesse winced at the memory. "I think she would only talk to you." Mintie's face dropped.

"Where is she?" She asked seriously.

"Hades cabin," Jesse said. "Be careful."

The three started to walk to the cabin. Jesse gave Mintie a wooden hammer for protection which seemed a bit odd to Mintie. Then the two pushed her inside the cabin. It was quiet, only rash breaths and small squeaks were heard, a couple of coughs too. Mintie dropped the hammer in the corner of the room and walked over to the small bundle of dark fabric and jeans in the corner.

"Hey Shady, you feeling alright-" Before Mintie knew it, she was tackled to the floor in a hug. Shady cried into her shoulder and gripped her tightly. Mintie immediately wrapped her arms around the small girl and let her vent.

"Shh, it's okay Shady, I'm here now. Do you want to tell me what happened or not?"

"R-Richardson (Mintie made up the name, I wanted a really cringey one. Like Gregory) from the Hermes cabin. The cute one, n-not the ugly one that has the weird dot under his left eye. He laughed at me," Shady said. "I-I got him f-flowers, stayed in his cabin f-for an hour waiting. When he came the flowers didn't look so pretty and h-he laughed at me." Shady gripped Mintie's shoulder tighter. "H-Hermes boys are m-mean."

"It's alright, if he didn't like you for who you are and the effort you put in then he's not worth it. You'll find someone else soon enough." Mintie chided in a calming voice.

"I will never like another Hermes cabin boy again," Shady hissed. "They're mean."

Shady got up and walked over to the bed, she picked up the almost dead lilies and walked back to Mintie. "Thank you Mintie," she handed the flowers to her, making Mintie smile softly.

"Thank you Shady, I love them."
