beautiful but so easily broken apart.
ocean currents drag me under with no escape.
hoping you'll hold me if i choose to stay.
wondering tirelessly if i'll occupy your heart endlessly.
swimming infinitely towards your afterglow.
i should've been cautious when i refused to go.
melancholy rose searching for a home.
insidious mindset stranding you alone.
turbulent thoughts always present.
feeding into false control and beginnings.
i haven't truly believed you've missed me.
my hands reach out but you're already gone.
the mellow music lays at our fingertips.
alluring iridescent paint gloss on your skin.
will one of us eventually win?

my foolish ways finally catch up to me.
living without the need.
continuously calling out for someone to help me.
my throat chokes once again.

at least, it seems that way.
