"Cookies are done!"
Jisung pumped his fist in the air at the announcement, sitting himself properly on the couch. Doyoung came walking out to the living room with a plate of cookies in hand and Jaemin following behind. He placed them down on the coffee table while seating himself on a vacant couch. Jaemin sat on the armrest of the sofa the three boys were seated on.
Renjun looked up at Jaemin beside him who had a cup in his hand, drinking its contents.
"So Renjun." The said boy tore his gaze from Jaemin and towards Doyoung, who happily ate a cookie while staring at the boy with a stern look. "I understand you've been told things you weren't supposed to hear," he said nonchalantly.
"U-um... I think so..." Renjun trailed off, feeling a certain someone's stare burning on the side of his face. "Honestly, I really don't know anything."
Doyoung gave a slight nod, looking to Jisung who just shrugged, stuffing cookies in his face. Then looked to Jaemin, who had been staring at Renjun, engrossed with the boy. A small smile made its way across Doyoung's lips. He's never seen Jaemin so interested in a person before. It made him wonder what was so special about the boy.
"I'm guessing you have a lot of questions," Doyoung continued, averting his attention back on Renjun.
'Yeah, like... What the hell is the fucking secret? Why the hell is Jaemin staring at me? and What was so special about those books I delivered?'
"No, not really," Renjun lied, making Doyoung laugh.
"Renjun you don't need to lie. I already know what you want to hear. But I'm trying to figure out if I should let you hear it," Doyoung responded. Jisung began choking on a cookie at his Hyung's words. Mark continuously hitting Jisung's back in attempts to help the poor boy.
"H-Hyung wh-at!?" Jisung barely got out. He took a moment to calm down from his coughing. "No way... No, it shouldn't even be an option to tell him."
Renjun felt offended by the younger's distrust in him. He's known Jisung since he came as a freshman, during his sophomore year at the university, he thought they'd grown close.
"He hates Jaemin okay," Jisung whispered to Doyoung, not being very discreet for all three boys could hear him perfectly clear. "We don't know what he'd do with the information."
Doyoung glanced at Renjun who had a look of hurt on his face. From the boy's thoughts, Doyoung could tell Renjun was far from hating Jaemin, a little jealous? Yes, but other than that, Renjun had no intention of hurting the boy next to him.
"Get the books."
Jisung gaped at his Hyung. Mark chuckled at the younger's expression as he got up to fetch the books Doyoung asked for. Renjun's excitement was rising at the thought of finally getting to see them, making Jaemin smile at the older. He didn't mind if Renjun knew about their secret. He planned to keep the older close in the future anyway.
