"Hwang... Don't be ridiculous... This kind of shits don't reach up to our level of superiority " Hanji says as he kicks Seungmin in the stomach again
"I told you that he's my mate. Don't you dare touch him again or you'll regret it Hanji " Hyunjin says pissed off.
"Fine... " Hanji scoffs and walks away, glaring at Seungmin and mouthing this isn't over to Seungmin
Hyunjin turns to look at Seungmin and tries to help him but Seungmin flinches away.
"Look.. I get that you were trying to help me but you've only made the situation worst for me. I know you were lying about being my mate in order to help me but please, next time, just turn a blind eye to me, okay?" Seungmin says as he tries to stand up.
"And what if I was not lying?" Hyunjin asks
"Huh?"
"What if you are really my mate?" Hyunjin says
"That's impossible " Seungmin scoffs
"Can you really not smell my scent? " Hyunjin says
Only then does Seungmin smell the scent of chocolate and mint that's coming off from Hyunjin
"You smell like strawberries and cotton candy to me. I know that only mates can smell each other's scents, so I know that I'm not mistaken" Hyunjin says, reaching out to Seungmin.
But then Seungmin flinches away from Hyunjin again.
"Well... I'm sorry that you had to be unfortunate enough to be my mate so I'll save you from the trouble of being near a disgrace like me. I don't care if we're mates. You know that we're from two completely different classes of people. So let's just do this. Let's pretend this morning never happened. You should forget that I'm your mate and I'll do the same. Alright?" Seungmin says with a small, sad smile and with that he turns and leaves to his classroom.
But Hyunjin was not having that. He grabbed Seungmin by his arms and started dragging him to the nurse's office.
"What are you -"Seungmin squeaks out surprised
"I'm not having any of that shit you spat out just now. You're my mate and that's that. I don't care about what others will say. " Hyunjin growls.
"Why are you being so stubborn about this!? You hardly know me!" Seungmin cries out
"You don't know anything about me either, so don't go assuming things that I dont want you " Hyunjin growls as they reach the nurse's office.
Hyunjin grabs some ointment then motions to Seungmin to lift up his shirt so that he could apply ointment on his bruises.
"I can do it on my own. You don't need to bother yourself with me. " Seungmin says softly with a sad smile
"Do as I say, omega" Hyunjin growls out and Seungmin cowers into him using his alpha voice.
Hyunjin is not surprised to see the many bruises, new and old, that were littering Seungmin's body.
He softly applies ointment on the bruise. Seungmin whimpers each time he touches the bruises and he feels angry that such an innocent looking boy was being hurt.
"When did this start?" Hyunjin asked
"From the start of school... It's no big deal, really... I'm fine... I'm quite used to it now" Seungmin says
"Well .. I'm not letting those jerks get away with this " Hyunjin says, gripping his fists in anger
"It's fine Hyunjin... Really... You don't have to get in trouble for me. " Seungmin pleads with a soft smile
"No it's not fine. They're hurting you... I won't let them be anymore... I'll protect you" Hyunjin says as he looks at Seungmin with a serious face
Ah... So this is what it feels like to be protected..
Is what goes through Seungmin's mind as he feels a secure feeling in his chest.
