Hyunjin being Hyunjin had been too overprotective over Seungmin over the first weeks of his pregnancy. Hyunjin wouldn't allow Seungmin to lift heavy stuff, he wouldn't let him do any hard work and even tried to stop him from doing laundry.
"Hwang Hyunjin for the love of God, if you ask me to stop going to my bakery for one last time, I swear I'll give you a divorce!" Seungmin yells irritatedly.
"But Seungminnie! You shouldn't put your body through too much stress right now!!!!!" Hyunjin whines.
"I'm still in my first trimester, I'll be fine... The doctor already allowed me to work. Speaking of work, shouldn't you be off to yours!?"
"Humph... Don't blame me if I want to keep you and my baby safe!"
"Hyunjinnie...I swear I'll be fine.. if I don't feel well, I'll call you.."
"Okay fine...I'm off to work, stay safe and call me if you need something...I'll grab you your ice cream and cookies on my way home"
"Thanks Jinnie" Seungmin says sweetly.
Seungmin had some part-time workers at his bakery so actually Hyunjin had nothing to worry about. Seungmin loved baking and it helped him relieve stress so he wasn't doing anything that could harm him. Plus, he'd stop to rest if he got tired anyways.
He was only two months pregnant now but his tummy was bulged out a lot. He had to wear oversized sweaters a lot. He and Hyunjin speculated that maybe it was only because their baby would be quite healthy.
Speaking of which, he had an appointment with his doctor tomorrow. He'll have to tell Hyunjin tonight since Hyunjin would want to come along. God knows how much that llama would whine if he didn't take him.
The next day
"Seungminnie, are you feeling better? Do you still feel nauseous? How about we cancel the appointment if you don't feel well enough?" Hyunjin asks fretting over Seungmin.
"I'm fine Jinnie, don't worry so much. Let's just go. It's our baby's first ultrasound, I really want to see how our little one is doing inside my tummy" Seungmin says rubbing his tummy with his fingers softly.
"Okay then, let's go"
Hyunjin drives them to the doctor's clinic where they wait for their turn.
"Mr Hwang and Mr Kim? It's your turn now" the receptionist says.
"Let's go?" Hyunjin asks nervously
"Yeah" Seungmin says holding tightly onto Hyunjin's hand.
"Seungmin-ssi, how have you been?" Doctor Lee asks
"I've been fine since my last appointment doctor"
"Well that's good to hear, ready for your first ultrasound?"
"As ready as I can be"
After a while
"Mr Kim, you'll have to take extra care from now on" Doctor Lee says
"What do you mean doctor? Is my husband alright? Is there some complications?" Hyunjin asks worriedly
"Normally, someone who's pregnant can lay easy in the first few months but that can't be possible for Seungmin-ssi"
"Why is that so doctor?" Seungmin asks worriedly gripping onto Hyunjin's hands scared of the doctor's words.
"Well, carrying twins is a hard job afterall and you'll be carrying double the weight of one child so you have to be careful. But it's nothing to be worried about. Just be careful not to overwork your body and exercise regularly." the doctor says smiling.
