At the hospital

"Guys,is Hyunjin okay? Has he woken up? What did the doctors say?" Seungmin asks as soon as he reached the hospital. His face was covered in tears and he looked like he ran marathon.

"The doctor said that it'll take time for him to wake up. He has several injuries and he's been badly bruised. Whoever did this was a maniac" Chan says clenching his fists.

"I swear I'mma kick those thugs' butts off of the face of the earth" Jisung angrily says.

"You're not getting into fights Sungie. Even Hyunjin couldn't handle them, you'd never stand a chance" Changbin says.

"But why would anyone do this? Hyunjin doesn't seem like a guy to just go around starting fights" Felix says genuinely concerned.

Seungmin fiddled with his fingers and felt tears welling up again.

"This is all my fault..." He whispers hoping no one hears

"What do you mean Minnie?" Minho asks since he was the one standing closest to Seungmin,he heard him clearly.

"I..." Seungmin was panicking. He couldn't tell them or Younghee would hurt them too. He was thinking up an excuse when

"Friends and family of Hwang Hyunjin?" A doctor asks coming out of the room Hyunjin was in.

"Yes... we're his friends. Is Hyunjin okay doctor?" Woojin asks .

"He is in a stable condition now. He isn't awake yet but you can visit him. But only one person at a time please. He's still in a very fragile state."

"Seungmin...you go in first...I know you're more worried than any of us" Chan says and the rest of them nod at him.

"Okay " Seungmin goes in.

Never did he ever think he'd ever have to see Hyunjin in such a weak state. He had an IV hooked into his arms and his face was covered in bruises while his hands and legs were covered in bandages.

This is all my fault.

If I had stayed away from him,this wouldn't have happened to him.

Hyunjin is in this state because of me.

Seungmin started crying again. He couldn't help but blame only himself for all that had happened to Hyunjin. If only he had stayed as far away as possible from Hyunjin.

"Hyunjinnie...I'm sorry...This is all my fault"

"If only I had stayed away from you, maybe you'd be okay right now...I'm so sorry".

Seungmin moved closer to Hyunjin and held Hyunjin's hand.

"From now on, no one will hurt you. I promise...I'll stay away from you. I'll make sure that you won't be injured because of me again"

"I'm sorry that I've caused you more pain than anything else... You shouldn't be with me...I never deserved you...I thought that maybe it would work out"

"That somehow... Even someone like me could end up with you...maybe it was all in my head...I never deserved to feel happiness."

"Thank you Hyunjinnie... these past few days with you, has been the best days of my life...I'll never forget them...but now..it's about time I woke up from this dream"

"You and I... we're from two different worlds Jinnie... and we could never be together...that's why I'll stay away from you from now on..."

"Thank you Jinnie...."

"I love you"

Seungmin moves away some stray hair from Hyunjin's forehead and moves down and pecks Hyunjin's forehead.

"I'm always gonna be thankful Jinnie... "

Seungmin moved away from Hyunjin's bed and walked towards the door to go home when

"Minnie..."  Hyunjin mumbled..

Seungmin saw Hyunjin's eyes fluttering and he opened his eyes to see Seungmin at the door.

"Minnie? Where are you going?"

Seungmin turned away from Hyunjin's eyes.

"I'm sorry Hyunjinnie..."

"What do you mean?" Hyunjin mumbled out

"I...we can't be together Hyunjinnie.."

"With this again, Minnie? I told you-"

"I thought I really deserved to be with you. I really thought I deserved the happiness I was getting these past days..but I don't.."

"But you do Minnie..you deserve all of this-"

"No I don't Hyunjin...I don't okay! That's why... I can't...I can't do this anymore..."

"Minnie what are you saying?"

"Let's stop this Hyunjin... I'll stay out of your way from now on... So you stay out of my life, alright?"

"No I won't...you can't stop me"

"Please.. Hyunjin I beg you... "

"Minnie..why are you suddenly saying this? Did someone put you up to say this? Who is it? I'll-"

"Just ... Stay away from me... alright?"

"No I won't because I know you're not doing this of your own free will "

"I am doing this out of my own free will... that's why stay out of my life from now on Hwang Hyunjin. Pretend you never knew a Kim Seungmin."

"You can't make me."

"Hyunjin please..."

" No I won't listen to this wish of yours"

Seungmin clenched the doorknob. He knew Hyunjin would be too stubborn.

Seungmin turned towards Hyunjin. He slowly moved towards Hyunjin. Hyunjin wanted to reach out to him and hug him. But Seungmin reached out to something else.

Hyunjin's eyes widened when he saw what Seungmin had grabbed.

Seungmin had grabbed the small knife used for cutting fruits placed on the small table near Hyunjin's bed.

"Seungmin what are you-"

Seungmin placed the knife on his arm right above his wrist.

"If you don't stay out of my life.... I won't hesitate to cut my life out of yours " Seungmin said putting force on the knife making blood ooze out of his arms.

"Seungmin stop... please stop..." Hyunjin started tearing up. He wanted to stop Seungmin but his injuries were holding him back.

"Now will you listen to me?"

"Yes yes.. please just stop...you're losing blood Minnie!" Seungmin removed the knife from his arm and kept the knife back where it was. He gripped his bleeding arm with his other hand.

"Just stay away from me from now on.... forget you ever met me..."
Seungmin says putting on the best smile he could but it only looked pained and fake.

Hyunjin was dumbfounded. Why was Seungmin doing this? Why was he so adamant on staying away from him?

Who was behind this?

Seungmin turned to leave.

"This is goodbye then"

"Okay..." Hyunjin said

But not for long.

I'm going to find out who is making you do this Minnie... I can't let you go like this.

Seungmin ran out the door and didn't even talk to any of his friends but just rushed home. His tears were blurring up his vision but he knew he had to get out there.
