The bravest choices
Follow the most difficult experiences
Battles are a catalyst to courage
And after a broken heart
Bravery is wanting to try love
Again.
Choosing to love after pain
Takes time - maybe years
Sometimes healing can't be found
In another person immediately
Again.
But being hopeful
Perched and intrigued
Ready to fall in love again
Despite the wounds still closing
Is how the brokenhearted feel
Again.
When hearts are involved
Things will hurt
But they will also heal
And they will heal when we are brave enough
To begin again.
