He is not my joy
For I create my own sunshine
But he is the laughter
In every little moment
He is the sparkle
In my smiling eyes
He is not the only good
In every day
But he turns my bad days
Into tranquil peace
He makes the better days
Into the best days
He is not my only friend
But he is my favorite notification
His arms are my safe place
And he is there through
Thick and thin
I never needed rescue
And I never needed him
To make me happy in life
I have rescued myself
And I find my own joy
But nothing compares
To the feeling he inspires
My days are blue skies
And he is the sunshine
That makes them glow
With gold and light
And pure, ecstatic
Delight
