Ch 5 Vale's Fair

With the next day rolled around FireTeam Mystic's member Asher woke up before any of the rest could.

Asher: (yawns rubbing his eyes) Ah, I needed that nap after waking up again and inputting those thoughts into Ruby.

Getting up he looks at his leader and comrade Scanner. Grabbing Due Diligence he decided to finally smack him like all the times Scanner did before to wake him.

Asher: Looks like it's you on the other side of the weapon this time.

Right as he was gonna hit Scanner with the stock of the weapon Asher is suddenly stopped.

Y/N: (holding weapon) You know next time you plan to do that don't monologue your own plan.

Asher: (to himself) One day I shall get my revenge. (to Scanner) Anyways what are we gonna do today, it's the weekend?

Y/N: (walking to the bathroom) Just ask if there is any events happening at the moment.

As Y/N was getting ready he went up to Team RWBY side of the room, specifically Yang's bed.

Asher: (shaking Yang) Yang!

Yang: (jolts up) What's happening?

Asher: It's the weekend so do you know any possible events that's happening? Hopefully one that Y/N and Ruby could be partnered for.

Yang: (with a devious smile) There is the Vale's Fair that's happening.

Asher: Perfect. I can see it now with the prizes, the food, good times, and then a Ferris wheel.

Yang: Okay, but he Ferris wheel part should be done once they're at the top.

Timeskip to Team RWBY and FireTeam Mystic arriving at the Fair

Y/N: Ahh; this is nice not having to wear my armor. Though it's too bad Weiss was insistent on studying for a test and Blake wanted to go to a book signing.

Ruby: How will we be split up going on rides?

Y/N: Well rides are commonly done under pairs of two.

Yang: Then it's decided with Asher goes with me and Ruby with Y/N. She says winking to her little sister. You know where to meet up so bye.

She says sprinting off with Asher somehow leaving behind a dotted outline of them.

Y/N: (walking) So Ruby, what do you feel like doing?

Ruby: (notices she's alone with Y/N) Uhh... I may or may have not seen a bakery stand earlier. She says touching her index fingers together.

Y/N: Lets go then. He says grabbing her hand.

Ruby's thoughts: He's holding my hand!  Don't freak out Ruby, don't freak out. You will scare Y/N and he will stop.

As this plays out an elderly man on a nearby bench sees this plays out and stops them.

Elderly man: Excuse me when I ask, but are you two together?

Ruby looks at Y/N and blushes while Y/N remains composed himself.

Y/N: We are not together but just friends.

At the mere mention of this statement Ruby looks down in a bit of sadness. Y/N doesn't notice as he's still having a conversation with the man.

Elderly man: Oh, it's just you two remind me of my late wife and I. That and I assume as such as you're currently holding her hand. He says pointing at it with his walking stick.
