Ch 6 Just a Friendly Competition

Waking up I tried getting up but something was restraining me. Looking down I saw Ruby and immediately remembered yesterday's events. She looked rather peaceful like a child hugging a stuffed animal but in this instance it was me. Guess I have nothing to do but simply wait. Staring at Ruby I was thinking about what to do today.

Asher: (yawns and stretches) Why do I feel like I'm well rested? Something is off.

Asher gets up only to look at me with that cheeky grin of his. Noticing the position Ruby was in I couldn't get up. He took the liberty of taking a picture of us.

Y/N: Do you really have to take a photo of every moment of ours lives?

Asher: (laughing) This is too much of a good moment to pass up. (gasp) Maybe I can turn these into a collage as a wedding gift!

Y/N: You put way too much thoughts into this. Any normal person would he disturbed by the amount of time you put.

Asher: You know full well that our lives is not the picture of normalcy. We are two super soldiers that have been fighting their lives in a galaxy wide war. Weiss, who turned down a life of luxury attempting to clear her family name. Your girlfriend, Ruby, who I might add got into this academy at the age of 15. Yang, who is a thrill seeker who we are somehow scared to now cross. Then Blake, who I know for sure is hiding something. I'm thinking it involves her book.

Y/N: I hate when you turn into a realist. You are right but you do it for the wrong reasons. What's the time anyways?

Asher: It's Sunday so you should be enjoying your time with Ruby. Now if you excuse me I'm gonna go get some breakfast. He says leaving.

Y/N: Asher! Asher. Well, he's gone.

A while with the rest of Team RWBY waking up only to see me. They waved it off with simply a smile except Yang who finds it amusing. After they left Ruby started tossing and turning until she woke up. Wiping her eyes she just now realized the position she was in and was kinda of a mess.

Ruby: Uh morning Y/N. So was I sleeping on you the entire time? She says rubbing her arm in embarrassment.

Y/N: Hmm yes and no. You might've have been snuggling on me which was cute. Besides the thing you should worry more is the picture Rogue took.

Ruby: (groans) Why is Asher like my sister?

Y/N: She actually found it quite amusing. Now let's go and get breakfast.

I got ready beforehand and started to wait for Ruby. I was waiting outside but that's what happens when you decide to break two rooms into one. Yeah, I wonder the they might react when they find out.

Ruby: (opens door) I'm ready! C'mon let's go before it's too late! She says dragging me.

Y/N: Ruby! Hold up, you can't just do that without telling me first! If you do I'll give you a cookie.

She stops allowing me to actually start walking without worrying on getting a second-degree burn from being practically dragged.

Y/N: Oh my gosh, I still question how can you do that. Anyways before we go how would you like to earn this cookie (holds up a cookie)

Ruby: Gimme. She says jumping attempting to get it.

Y/N: Before I do will you warn me beforehand when you do something like this.

Ruby: (munching on cookie) Yes.

Y/N: Good now lets go.

Catching up to the team they were eating breakfast. Getting a simple bowl of oatmeal and toast I began eating while Ruby was eating cereal.
