Halo x RWBY (Ruby x Reader)

Ch 13 An Ordinary Day

Y/N woke up, looking around seeing the after-math of yesterday's birthday party. Though he felt something on his forehead, a note of some kind. Picking it off his head it read, "Meet at the cliffs -Asher."

Y/N: Huh...Thats rather odd. I wonder what Asher is doing?

Y/N for a period of ten minutes had to slowly drag his way from Ruby's grasp. After freeing himself he got his equipment and some paper seeing as how he also needs to do homework. With that Y/N got ready and left the room. He made his way to the school's cliffs and it was a quiet walk seeing the time of day. Arriving at the cliffs he spots Asher in a prone shooting at any Grimm in sight.

Y/N: Why the note?

Asher: You had to get out of Ruby's grasp did you not?

Y/N: ....

Asher: I did not feel like waiting that time so I thought a sticky note was appropriate.

Y/N sat at the edge of the cliff doing his work while Asher still kept on firing. He made into a sort of competition trying to hit the pupil of the  eyes or in creative ways.

Y/N: (writing) What do you need to say?

Asher sighs before putting Sentinel down. He sits on the edge of the cliff as well.

Asher: What do you think when they could not find us?

Y/N: They put us as missing in action so that the myth never dies out. We were considered expendable after all.

Asher: Well that sucks, anyways back onto lighter notes.

Y/N: (stops writing) I thought you were going deep on me, what happened?

Asher: I don't know. Just thought I could of hit you with a hard question. Not like there is
a lot to think of given that we didn't have the time before.

Y/N: (grabs Due Diligence and starts firing)
Well got anything else in that head of yours?

Asher: There is, and it has been bothering me for quite some time now. How would you beat Yang in games? I do not know how she always manages to beat me. Like as soon as the match starts she somehow finds the rocket-launcher and blows me up, and this also happens when the weapons are random.

Y/N: Your abilities do not transport into the game. That and you just generally suck at them in general. Though that is an entirely different story.

Asher: (sarcastically) That hurts more coming from you.

Y/N: Says the one who thought it was a good idea trying to get a kill by running Yang over with a bike. All she just needed to do was throw you off it and whack you with it.

Asher: It would have been gracious. Anyways seeing as how Ruby got a letter from her dad what do you think?

Y/N: You mean how I eventually need to meet her dad?

Asher: The next step in your relationship or whatever it is. At least this is what I think it is from listening to students. This whole thing is the brainchild of mind, and you know I don't have these types of ideas often.

Y/N: The whole idea was also Yang's as well. The last time you had one of your supposedly great ideas was driving the mongoose into the Scarab' top decks door. Your reasoning being so enemies couldn't stop you from destroying the core.

Asher: That grunt never saw it coming. I'd say it was worth it. At least I didn't stay near the Scarab as it exploded.

Y/N: In my defense I did it for experimental reasons. I wanted to see how much can their bubble shields can withstand. Besides it is not like I had a lot of time to escape when you had the mongoose stuck.
