I had walked through the doors of the academy as the bell was ringing. I had a few minutes before I needed to be to class but still figured that I could still make my way there in order to get a good seat. Kids were moving through the school, walking and talking to their friends or interacting with their lockers in order to get inside.
I smile when I saw a familiar face. It was Kaenix standing near some lockers with three other guys. He and two of the boys were smiling, the other looked like he was seconds away from crying. Kaenix walked forward and stood so close to the teary eyed boy that their shoes almost touched. Kaenix raised his hand and smacked the glasses right off the boy's face. The spectacles fell to the ground with a loud sound and the boy immediately dropped to his knees to pick them up. As he reached for them however, Kaenix moved his foot of the glass and slowly applied pressure until the lens shattered under his foot and the frames bent at an awkward angle. The boy behind Kaenix started laughing and and Kaenix smirk grew wider as he ground the remains of the glasses with the tip of his shoe.
Enraged, I marched over there. I glared at Kaenix and the boys who laughed along with him,"Kaenix!"
He looked up from his torment of the boy and rhe hard lines of his face softened when he looked at me," Ah! Avery Grimsbane, how was your first day at school. Did you miss me?"
Ignoring his question, I put my hands on my hips,"What do you think you're doing?"
His roguish smirk returned as he raised his hands," Just hanging out with my friends! Allow me introduce them. This one is Styxx-," he pointed to the tall burly teenager with a mean-looking mug,"-and that one is Fang.""Interesting," I said drolly," And do you wanna tell me who this boy that you're bullying is?" I pointed at the boy still on his knees who was trying to pick up the shards of his glasses as if there was a point.
Kaenix frowned down at him,"Oh this one? This one is Logan." He said kicking the glasses away from Logan. Logan cried out and i had worried maybe the glass had cut him.
"What is your problem?!" I reached for Logan's arm to haul him back to his feet and supported some of his weight when I realized that he could really hold himself up. What had the jerk done to this kid?
"Relax, princess," He chuckled," It's just pure mindless mischief! A group of friends having fun...right, Logan?" Kaenix's smile fell and his mismatched eyes shone with something mean and angry. When his eyes dropped down to where I still held Logan up, his hands began to clench into fist.
Logan violently shrugged me off, ripping his arm away to glare at me," Yeah, I'm fine."
Kaenix smile returned,"Great! Me and my friends are gunna head to class now, Grimsbane. Maybe I'll catch you later for lunch?"
I scoffed, shocked he would even ask that," Don't count on it! You're a bully why would I want to be anywhere near you."
Kaenix shrugged,"You'll come around. I'll be seeing you...princess." Then he, Fang and Styxx left down the hall together. Kaenix taking the lead. When they were far enough away I turned worried eyes on to the poor boy, Logan. Only to meet his angry glare.
"A-are you okay?"
"I was okay until decided to come over here and help."
"What?"
"You actually thought you were 'saving' me? They broke my glasses so what? Do you have any idea how long it took me to get in good with these guys? I don't need some ugly girl with a hero complex trying to ruin it for me!"
"I-I'm sorry... I didn't know.""Yeah whatever. Just stay outta other people's business." And with that he limped away, hair mussed and glasses in shards at my feet.

Creed circled in wolf form a beta
that looked fiercely at him. The beta snarled viciously, his hackles raised and his white fangs gleaming in the light that managed to escape between the branches of the forest.
The entire pack, excluding myself, had shifted into wolf form in the forest. A "play" fight had then ensued. All around me, wolves the size of horses were snarling and biting and going for each other's throat. And one beta, the one snarling at Creed, dared to pick a fight with the leader of the pack.
The smaller wolf had moved low to the forest floor and then shot forward on a pounce. Creed caught him mid-air by the neck with his fangs. Rending clumps of his fur from the smaller male as he flung him to the ground. Then, Creed was on him, biting and snarling. The beta nipped back but incapable of really fighting his alpha off.
With a whimper, the beta rolled onto his back. A show of submission and the fight was over. The other wolves raised their great big heads, lifting their nose to the sky and yipped into the air. A cheer for their alpha's victory. Through their cheers and yips Creed still had the same intense aura. The same aggressive stance. Then his bright glowing eyes locked on me. Like a wave, the crowd split as he prowled past them his eyes in me the entire time.
Once he got close, he looked down on me. A little fear riveted down my spine. What did he want from me? Was I next?! He pressed his soft nose to my shoulder and slowly dragged it up my neck. I could feel his slight breath blowing gently against my skin.
Then it clicked. I know what he wanted from me. I smiled and lifted my hand to it run through his fur.
"Great job, big guy."
