(Scarlet's POV)
When I finally arrived at my old school, I went around to the back where the bleachers stood. I saw Aiden already there waiting for me to show my face and give him the answers he deserves. To be honest, I was afraid of what might happen after I told him, but I knew I had to do it. So I took a deep breath and walked over to him pretending to not have a care in the world if he hates me when I'm dying inside at the thought of it.
"Hey Aiden," I said as I stepped out of the shadows.
"Hello Scarlet or should I say Kiara or is there a different name that no-one knows about?" He questioned and my eyes grew wide, guessing we were skipping the small talk.
"Listen I know you're pissed but I'm risking everything being here now, I promised you answers and that's what I'll give you, but don't expect anything more than that," I tell him sternly and he nods.
"My Name is Kiara Stone, but I ran away from my mother in hopes to start a new life and possibly find my father. I changed my name to Scarlet Greenwood and started over which led me to meeting you guys" I tell him and I know he's expecting more, but I stop talking not wanting to lie but afraid to say the truth.
"Who are you really? Kiara or Scarlet?" He asks me and I know I can be fully honest.
"You know who I am Aiden. I never lied to you. I only lied about my name that is all. I promise" I tell him and he looks like he wants to believe me but doesn't.
"What did you mean when you said there was more to your name then you thought?"
"I mean I found my dad and I found out why he left," I tell him and he looks happy for me until I say what I'm about to then his entire facial expression changes.
"My father is Xavier" as soon as those words left my mouth Aiden's eyes darkened and his fists clenched.
"What!? you mean to tell me the leader of the most feared gang in the world is your father?!" He shouted at me and I'm just waiting for him to pull a gun out on me or to punch me or do something along those lines.
" Yes" is all I said as I watched Aiden attempt to calm down.
"That means you're my enemy" I heard him whisper and hearing those words hurt me. Really they did. I was hoping he wouldn't see me as his enemy but I knew that wasn't going to happen. Deep down I knew, it was just false hope.
"There's one more thing." I started and he looked up at me.
"And what's that?" He asked in anger, lacing his words.
"The girl who saved you in that alleyway the day we met. That was me." I told him and his eyes widened. I saw him shake his head and whisper something, but I couldn't quite hear him. I waited for him to say something but he never did. Instead, he turned around and walked away. Leaving me at the bleachers alone and hurt. Wondering if coming here was worth it after all.
(Aiden's POV)
I left. I left her standing there alone in the dark and with only part of the questions I wanted answers to, but I couldn't hear any more of what she was saying. She's my enemy, her father, her family, her entire existence makes her my enemy. And now she tells me that the same day we met she was the one to save me? None of this was making any sense. If she knew who I was why would she save me? Why didn't she tell me that she was the girl? Why did she run from her mother? Was all this part of a plan between her and her father? I met up with her for answers, but I was just left with more questions.
I entered my house and I was greeted by Casey with an angry face. She stormed towards me and slapped me, which took me by surprise.
"Why the hell did you cancel the search for Scarlett? You can't give up now!!" She started to rant but I was too tired to deal with her so I just walked up the stairs for her to thank me back.
"Don't walk away from me! Give me some answers!"
"She doesn't want our help! Do you hear me, Casey? She's not who you think she is! She never was part of our group and she never told us the truth! It was all a lie!" I snapped I didn't want to but I couldn't help myself.
I stormed upstairs and to my room. I knew Casey was chasing me up the stairs, but I didn't care. I slammed the door ignoring Casey's screams and went to bed. Trying to wrap my head around Scarlett being one of them and how everything I once knew about her was a lie.
(Scarlet's POV)
When I got home I went straight to my room. Luckily no one was up, so I guess I will get away with this little sneak away, but I definitely can't do it again, it's too dangerous with all this security around. I laid down in my bed thinking about me and Aiden's talk. It did not go at all how I expected. He just walked away before our conversation was even finished. I knew he would be pissed once he found out about Xavier, but I still was hoping that he would remember our times together and understand that it wasn't a choice. I had been dreaming about being with my father since I was born and now that I got him and a brother how could I let that go? I couldn't. This was how life was supposed to go I guess. I just hope I never have to actually fight him. I don't know if I would be able to.
