[Scarlet's POV]

Sitting in the guest room of Aiden's house I look into the closet of possibilities to wear on my date with Aiden. Everything hanging seemed to be not right for the occasion, but really what do I know about going on a date. I grabbed a maroon colored top with a black skirt to make the outfit appear less casual. I looked into the mirror, thinking that the outfit looked decent enough. When I was about to grab a pair of shoes the door opened with a smiley Cassy standing in the doorway with a bag in her hands.

"Hey, Cass what you doing here?"

"I came to prepare you for your date," she exclaimed, beaming with joy, as I glared questionably at her. She handed me the bag that was in her hands, and when I looked inside my eyes glistened in awe and excitement. Quickly grabbing the dress I left to the closet and threw aside the clothes I was wearing, replacing them with the beautiful red and black strapless dress that was slightly shorter in the front and longer in the back. I paired the dress with black Ericdress chunky heel lace-up ankle boots. I stepped out of the closet showing Cassy the stunning dress she had bought for me.

"Cassy this is perfect thank you," I brought her into a hug, thanking her repeatedly.

"Now go show him how lucky he really is to have you!" she exclaimed as we both laughed and she pushed me out of the door.

[Aiden's POV]

As we were entering the restaurant I couldn't take my eyes off of Scarlet. Her curled red hair matched perfectly with the black and red lacy dress she was wearing. I finally have her on a real date with me and I have no idea what to say. She is sitting across from me, looking more beautiful than I could ever imagine, talking to the waiter about something, but I have no clue what about. When the waiter disappeared from view, Scarlets wistfully clear eyes looked to me and her painted lips formed a smile.

"You're unusually quiet, What's on your mind?" her words brought me out of my haze.

"Nothing really, just the last time we sat across from each other like this, you hated me" she laughed at the memory of the beginning of our relationship.

"Ok I never hated you, I just wanted to distance myself from you."

"How is that better?" I asked and she looked down with a sheepish grin.

"Well when I first rolled into town I needed to stay in the shadows, go unnoticed, and I knew that you were trouble, so I needed to stay away from you in order to protect my identity," she explained. What she said made sense, but there was one thing she said that was false.

"You never stood a chance at going unnoticed," her head immediately cocked to the side with the curiosity of what I meant.

"What?" I couldn't help but laugh at her unsure face.

"The first day I saw you, you were dressed in a black strapless crop top, a leather jacket, black leather pants, and heeled black boots. I hate to break it to you but that's not really going unnoticed type of clothing," I explained, a huge smirk on her face.

"I guess you have a point there."

[Christians POV]

A sting of pain shoots through my body as another punch hits my abdomen and another hits my face.

"Why would you warn her! How could you let him wake up?" Xavier's voice rang through my ears in determination and anger.

"You said you wanted her back, So tell me how is handing her over to the enemy going to get her back!?" another blow hit my jaw. My teeth sinking into my gums and the plastic taste of blood filling my mouth, making me cough and the red liquid to spill past my lips.

"I don't take pleasure in hurting you Christian, your my son after all," Xavier says kneeling down in front of me.

"Well, you have a funny way of showing fatherly care" a smirk was playing on his lips as he stood back up.

"Just tell me why you would warn Scarlet of our plan and let her walk blindly to the enemy."

"She's not walking blindly to the enemy. She knows exactly who they are and she cares for every one of her friends especially Aiden. And as her brother I want her to be happy and not have to choose between family and the people she loves. As her father, you should feel the same way." Silence fills the room as Xavier stared down at me. His expression changed from anger to a sudden calmness that sent chills through my spine.

"It's a good thing I'm not her father then."

"Take him away," he called to the other members that were waiting outside his office, but my mind was blurred with questions to care about the other members. What the hell did he mean by he's not her father?
