A storm over head (Daryl Dixon fanfic)

hope part 2

The girls had been walking for a bit of time , checking the nearby roads but staying in the tree line ,before the knew it ,it was dark and time to set up camp . finding a clearing  t,he three girls set up cans to warn them of walkers and let a small  amount of  light so that they could see what was around them but others could not see them . " I go on first watch" Tamara stated as the other two lay down in the brown leaves. why did Tamara chose these two girls , one reason was carol never got picked  by anybody and everybody  thought she was weak but Tamra knew that she  wasn't and why she chose michonne was just like her she was strong independent and Tamara wanted to trust her . Now you may think why did she only chose girls because in this world being a girl was one of the most dangerous things that could you could be why , rape , kidnapping ,and underestimating  . But Tamara thought one thing if this group fell she would want to have her most trusted friend be the side her and that meant  establishing friends .

It was morning and the girls had packed up there camp and moved on to the other roads so far there was nobody , they were killing walkers as the went along and carol was pretty good with a knife  . The small group had been getting along quite well . and as the finished up for the day and headed back to the prison the group had finaling established a friendship and a trust that would now last for ever .

"afternoon rick ,merle was wrong we can get out of here safely from all roads and back roads "

"and what you think of michonne "

"definitely a part of the group "

" okay good , im taking her on a run with me and carl later , i want to see if i can trust her  " Tamara nodded and went off to find daryl .
Daryl had just finished talking to his brother as he was was walking away from his cell."hey "she said smiling at him , "hey" he said back kissing her quickly  "did you find anything "
"They haven't blocked of any exist were safe and there stupid" she replied .
Daryl nodded kissing her forehead and walking off this was his way of finishing a conversation . Tamara decided  that she was going to go find judith it took  a bit but she found her with carl and beth , both the kids saw tamara as a mother figure but called her aunty T, why because one time beth accidentally called her mum . Tamara response was that "it was okay but next time just call me aunty T as I don't want to step on your mothers feet", shortly after that carl started to call her that to .

" go be kids you two i  will look after the baby" both the  kids nodded and handed the baby to Tamara and went off to play or read somewhere . As tamara was rocking the baby back a forth and the baby started to fall asleep .  rick came in , " she has shane eyes doesn't she "

"yea she does " Tamara said confirming rick suspension . 

"she really did love you rick " 

"i know , i just wish i made it better before it was to late " 

" she knows that you love her , and that you will protect this baby because it what she left us. this baby is a gift "

'i know what you mean , well me and carl are going to go on a run to the next town across. Hold the fort whilst i'm gone and make sure that the brothers don't kill each other " 

" sure will you stay safe out there "

it was getting late and carl and rick had just returned the prison has settled done for the evening and  first watch was Carol and Tamara .

" why do you trust me so much im weak "

"i trust that one day you most likely be the strongest of the group , you smart and stronger than you think . Look at Daryl he went through abuse and he  is one of the strongest . you will be to "

" you think "

"oh i know , time has a funny way of showing us what happens "

"what scares you the most "

" well i have almost died twice now so i'm no longer scared , i have lost people and that kinda scares me but not to the extent where i live in fear . im most scared about losing myself and becoming just like shane "

 the two women went silent and waited for the switch which happened to be Glenn and Maggie as carol and Tamara walked down she yelled out to them to" use protection"

the prison was quiet as the two women separated Tamra went into to carl and judith cell an tucked them in giving each of them a kiss on the forehead  . she moved into beth and did the same she finished off in Daryl as she stood near his sleeping body she missed sleeping next him . his warmth keeping her warm and his snore working as white noise . the prison was peaceful when she climbed in to her bed in the prison , she knew that this wasn't going to last. but little did she know the illusion was going to end sooner then she thought .
