"katrina you going to be late for school you dads already here , shell be down in a minute " tamra said as she went back to washing the breakfast dishes .

"dadddd," katrina yelled as she jumped in to her dad arms her long red hair swaying back and forth as she did so . 

" quick you going to be late " tamara said while giving her a kissing goodbye and pushing her and her dad out the front door " have a good day i love you ".

after tamara had finished the dishes she went up stairs putting on her police uniform before, exiting the house and jumping on her police motorcycle . arriving at the office she saw rick and shane sharing a conversation at the coffee station where she joined them making herself a coffee too. " what on the edgender today boys "

"we have highway patrol and you have ..."

"office work , i didn't finish mine yesterday because my ex boyfriend couldn't pick up our daughter from school, now tell me this why did you both allow me to stay with him let alone have a child so i could never get rid of him "

shane wrapped his arm around her shoulder " because you were in love " .

she rolled her eyes in response before saying" better get it started if i have a chance on finishing it "

"lori wanted me to tell you that her and carl aren't going to make it to kat birthday this weekend "

"and why that , carl and kat haven't stopped talking about it at all"

tamara sat down at her desk and started to fill out the paperwork she got started yesterday , by the time she had finished that it was lunch so she went for a short walk to her favourite food joint and sat down eating a salad . after she finished that she had to go back in and finish the paper work and logged the arrest onto the online system then she got a phone call " hey tamara are you free tonight " 

"really shane your asking this again, i love you but just not in that way "

the phone beeped as she to hung up her end of the line checking the time she realised that it was time to pick up katrina and carl from school since rick had enough hour and lori was also working . 

she exchanged her police bike for her normal car and drove to the school seeing them waiting for her at the front entrance "sorry im late, didn't see the time . why dont i make it up to both of you with ice cream "

"yes ," the both said in unison jumping into the back seat and buckling up " mum carl told me that he can't come to my party anymore "

" i know rick told me at work today it okay though sweetie you have heaps of friends coming "

" but i was really hoping carl would "

"i know i know "katrina said as the both stepped out of the car into the ice cream parlour . looking around Tamara saw a redneck talking to a small female about the world and Tamara couldn't help but snicker the redneck must of heard her and looked in her direction , they made i contact quickly . before katrina pulled on her mum sleeve telling her she had to pay .  handing the money over to the cashier her and the kids both sat down talking about the party that was coming this weekend . Tamara looked back over at the table with the redneck and saw that he now sat alone with his head in his palm, he slammed his fist into the table before getting up and storming out .
