i was born on a pair of wings
i let my soul carry me
to the ledge
then i fell
i fell deep
for we are
but a fleeting note
in this grand cacophony.
/
i was born in a sea of paint
i let the waves wash me
slowly ashore
then i stepped
wide eyed
into the dust
into the story
never stepped out again.
/
i was born beneath an angel's light
i let the halo shine on me
till i lost shape
lost myself
so come now
lonely shadow
take me with you
and make me whole.
/
i never could stand a kind liar.
