i stand
in a cluster of light
upon an empty,
deep canvas.
/
eventide, passersby
funny how mine brushed your eyes
walk with me, heart
walk with me
/
flashing sadness, one a.m.
amid the storm you held my hands
fall with me, heart
fall with me
/
cooling fingers, painted glass
we were a pair of shooting stars
float with me, heart
float with me
/
arm in arm, moth and fire
are smiles meant to be bittersweet?
sink with me, heart
sink with me
/
thought we just started
guess i fell right through
sick of the embers
fading through my fingers
every time i catch on
telling myself, i chose the sky over you.
/
you stand
in a cluster of light
upon an empty,
deep canvas.
/
still
sometimes, oftentimes
all the times i wonder
if those stars are just mirrors
to your light
/
did i try too hard, did i lie too much?
don't know where i messed up
guess some passersby
are meant to be passerbyes.
