hey, i promise you i'm not sad
i just like solitude and the color blue
the night can only get as bad
so why the fuck do i sound like romeo?
/
pierce my veins through
'cause love is selfish and i don't wanna let you go
eat my heart out
so every time i shut my eyes we're still dancing slow
a million stars, our spotlights
silk strands, swinging brushstrokes
but the dance hall was never our place
the songs never brought me solace
beyond glaring lights there's only that ceiling
and all the eyes
glaring
/
it wasn't our place, no
it wasn't
we're children of moonlight
a pair of shooting stars through the sky
we wanted to fall forever
fall 'till the ocean ran dry
but wings aren't immortal, neither the firefly
and when haloes rest heavy
even angels die
/
twist my mind away right now
eat my heart out for you
'cause love is selfish and i don't wanna let you go
/
so i've told the story
told you i'm not sad
i just like solitude and the color blue
cuz love, the selfish rose
when i'm not lonely
she drives me mad
and this time, i got no one to blame
guess it really is that bad
hey, why the fuck do i sound like romeo?
