"Lola! Fuck shit stick I need your help!" Tris barged into the two girl's dorm, her hands flying around her head like a mad man.
Lola sat up straight on the couch, her eyes wide with shock of Tris's entrance. "Oh gosh, sweetie what happened?" She asked as she patted the spot on the couch next to her, Tris quickly took the offer, throwing her bag along with her books on the coffee table.
Now Tris hadn't talked about Luke with Lola before, the only time he had been mentioned was when Lola had decided to go completely goo-goo eyes over him, when Tris said she had come across Luke out in the woods. After that they never spoke of him, until now that is of course.
"I just bumped into Luke Hemmings, like, literally bumped into him. And he was so, I don't know... Sweet." Tris sighed and slumped into the couch. She looked up to Lola for a response, and of course Lola only saw the good side to all of this, the fact that it was Luke Hemmings they were talking about, not that he is a fucking psychopath and almost tried to kill Tris and is now acting nice? Then again, Lola was clueless to the situation.
A small squeak came from Lola before she answered, "Oh wow, okay so do you like him?"
Tris immediately sat up then, her eyes wide, "What, no? What the hell made you even ask that?" She asked.
"Wow calm down, I'm just curious, I'm making conversation if that's okay with you." Lola held her hands up in defense, before slowly standing up and walking towards the bathroom. "What's the big deal about Luke now anyways? You didn't care for him last time we spoke about him." She stated.
Tris chewed the inside of her lip, and frowned. She couldn't explain to Lola what happened out in the woods that night, and she sure as hell couldn't let her know that -even if she didn't want it too- the turning feeling inside her stomach whenever she saw Luke made her feel... good. Lola would never let that slide.
"I don't know... Whatever, lets forget it." Tris mumbled and stood up off the couch, and threw herself face first into her pillow, sighing deeply. She could hear Lola getting ready for a shower, apparently some kid in dorm six was throwing a party after curfew, Lola wanted to go and if Lola went, Tris wasn't. One of them had to stay behind, imagine what would happen if they both got caught after hours? Intense shit, that's what.Tris didn't want to be alone tonight though, all she would do is think about Luke, Calum, the English assignment that's due next week that she hasn't started, and Gus...
God she missed Gus, it hadn't even been that long, plus she hardly knew him but jesus she missed him. After Calum's accident no one had seen August, not even Michael, he's god damn roommate. That's when a thought struck, Michael is probably by himself right now, so why not hang out with him? Tris liked Michael, he was easy to get along with, they hadn't spoken an awful lot but enough to spend a night in each other's company. She quickly jumped off of her bunk and grabbed her sweater, pulling it over her head as she walked towards the door.
"I'm just going to see Michael." Tris shouted, hoping Lola could hear her over the sound of water and horrid singing coming from her own mouth.
Tris jogged across the courtyard, the damp grass soaking her shoes a little bit. The lights inside Michael's room were on, so she guessed he was inside, no that she doubted it. As she approached the door she quickly put her hair into a ponytail and sighed, before knocking lightly on the door. It only took Michael a few seconds to answer, a massive smile printed across his face at the sight of Tris.
"What are you doing here cupcake?" He asked, leaning on the doorframe.
Tris giggled at the nickname he just gave her and shook her head smirking, "Came to chill." She pushed past him and threw herself onto one of the two couches in the room.
"Wicked," Michael closed the door and turned to face her with a cheeky grin, "I'd say make yourself at home, but you seem to already have done that." He raised an eyebrow at her.
Tris blushed, "Oh, sorry I just-"
Michael held his hands up in defense, "Dude, don't need to apolagize, I'm cool with it." He smiled kindly and then sat himself beside her, and rested his feet up on the coffee table. "Wanna play PS3? I'd offer to play PS4 but I'm poor as fuck and can't buy one." He handed her a controller before she could answer, "And to make it worse Calum said he'd pitch in to buy one together but the bastard went and got himself in hospital, selfish prick."
Tris chuckled to herself, this boy's sense of humor was slightly different to most people's she knew, which in all honesty wasn't a bad thing. If anything she liked it more, helped her see a different side to things, which is what she needed right now.
The two of them spent the next hour or two playing FIFA and eating almost all of the food that was in the tiny fridge that was, luckily enough, located next to the coffee table. The boys had their prioities straight. And even though Tris was enjoying spending time with Michael, curfew was drawing close and she didn't want to be caught out of her room, and being caught in a boy's room at that. She stood up off the couch and looked down at Michael, who was currently trying his hardest to stay awake.
"Mike," She poked him in the arm gently, "Mike, I gotta get going."
He sat up, his eyes heavy. "What? Why?" He asked, sounding slighty disappointed.
"Curfew, dude." She smiled and nudge him in the shoulder.
"Oh right, well," He stood up off the couch and tried to show a smile, "I'll show you to the door." He extened his arm out to her to take, but Tris just giggled.
"The door is like, ten steps away Mike."
"I know, I just didn't wanna be a dick." He blushed and kicked his feet at the ground.
Tris smiled and lent over to ruffle his dyed red hair, "You're sweet."
Michael scrunched his nose at her before leading her to the door, no matter how much she protested and told him it was fine (because it literally was only ten steps away from the couch). He even opened the door for her and walked her outside, Tris thought it was sweet, guys never usally did these sort of things for her, they either ignored her or now in her case, tried to kill her.
The cold air brushed against the both of them, making Tris shiver a little. She turned to face Michael who was standing half in, half out of his door way with a stupid grin on his face. "Wanna chill tomorrow too?" He asked.
Tris smiled, "That would be awesome, but I've gotta study."
"We'll study chill then, we'll be study buddies!"
Tris laughed and nodded, "Yeah sure," She lent in the give Michael a quick hug before making her way back across the courtyard to her room, but before she did she turned around once last time, a thought playing on her mind.
"Hey Mike?" She called out.
"Yeah?"
"Tell Gus I said hey."
"Gus?"
"Yeah."
"I would, but, he left school a week ago."
