The folder of designs on my desk is stealing all my attention but I am determined to get the rest of my business dealt with before I take a look. Mother had been full of praise for the work Geneva had shown her and had been taken with Geneva herself, but warning Henry and I to be careful, when I had mentioned it to Father, he had told us that Mother had run from them in the early part of their marriage and it had taken five years to get her back at their side. Both Henry and I had asked a number of questions on hearing that news, panicked that Mother was warning we too may lose our woman. I would not let that happen.
Henry was still in New York on business and had cursed at me when I had texted him to say the designs had arrived, asking me to send him copies as soon as possible.
Now, Finally I was done and I could focus on the designs, I picked up the folder and moved to the armchair overlooking the view of London, taking a deep breath, I open it up.
The designs were everything we wanted and more, each design, carefully presented to give a view of different aspects of each room, there was not one thing I would change.
I read through the paperwork accompanying the designs and her costings and timelines and grinned, everything was within an acceptable budget, and achievable in a relatively short period of time if we closed the club for a set period of time, however she had said without closure it could take several weeks or longer and cause disruption.
On agreeing the designs she warned us it would take up to 4 weeks to get all the pieces shipped ready for installation and work could commence once the furniture and individual design pieces had arrived.
Everything was incredibly professional and there was not mention of anything personal.
There was also a list of basic equipment which was being supplied to fit in custom made drawers and furniture that had been suggested by James, I smiled when I saw the note that Jayne was handling the liaison with Colin and James and would be co-ordinating that side of the design purchases, and if the club had any additional needs to contact Jayne.
I settled back in my chair and thought about Geneva, feeling my body stir as I recalled her passion and draw. Henry had been right she was perfect for us in every way, we just need to get her to take a step towards us, something we would have to have patience with, but we could do it, she was worth it.
A knock at the door preceded Nigel coming to tell me he was off unless I needed anything else and I waved the folder at him.
"Can you just get these copied and sent across to Henry, and tomorrow can you set up a meeting with Geneva Loxley and her assistant"
"Yes sir, are these the designs for the club, may I?" Nigel took the folder and I nodded, watching his face as he looked at the designs.
"They are incredible, such attention to detail, she is very talented" he praised and I agreed, but felt my jealousy rise at his words.
"Yes, now send them to Henry" I barked and watched as he nodded and left, leaving me to growl at myself over my reaction. I wasn't used to the jealously that I felt, and I growled at the power Geneva had over me without even trying.
