Colin gives me a wide grin as I stride through the lounge, pointing to the stairs at my questioning look. I scan the room as I pass through and realise just how good it looks, the hallways and staircases flow well and feel lighter, airier, enticing you to look further.
I start going up, listening for voices and realise they have started at the top, with room 11. I can hear Mothers voice full of praise and the fathers replying and grin, slowing my steps and listening.
I wonder how Geneva felt about this room, knowing it had been ours, that it had been where she came apart at our touch.
I reach the doorway and wait for them to notice me, Geneva, feeling my presence first and making me grin as I see the blush stain her cheeks.
"Geneva" I greet her, striding forward to pull her into my arms and kiss her, ignoring my family and Jayne and James watching. I had been wanting to do this for two weeks, family could wait.
"Alex, you're here" she whispers, leaning into the hug before remembering where we are.
"Ohh" she mutters backing up and I turn to face my parents, a grin on my face.
"Mother, Fathers, we were not expecting you" I say politely as they look at me with a little astonishment.
"Alex, Are you feeling all right, why are you so cheerful?" Mother teases and I scowl at her.
"I can be cheerful" I mutter and they all laugh, including Geneva, so I let the scowl go, conscious of Father's knowing looks.
"We will leave you to it" James calls taking Jayne out with him, leaving Geneva and I with my parents.
I look around the room and am impressed, the drawings were good but the reality is so much better, the masculine colour scheme, making the room feel comfortable to me, it fitting my dominant nature.
"Do you like it?" Geneva asks quietly and I smile back at her.
"Its perfect" I say holding her gaze, till Father breaks the silence.
"Shall we move on?"
Geneva leads the way, answering the questions Mother asks as I follow and watch her, the passion for her work coming through in her words and motions, her confidence clear in her work and abilities. And I realise its the fact these are our parents, that is making her nervous.
My Father pats my back "I approve of her" he whispers as he passes me to join Mothers side.
I grin as we work our way through the rooms, Father's words whilst not necessary, giving me a warm feeling, they liked her.
Henry finally arrived as we were finishing in room nine, he swept in and kissed Geneva after a brief hello to our parents, and I knew like me, the last two weeks had been too long to be physically away from her.
I catch Mothers questioning but knowing look and nod, confirming its both Henry and I interested in Geneva and I know the Fathers are watching our little byplay as well.
Geneva takes us through the next three rooms before her nerves reappear and we are outside room five, this room had a darker feel in the drawings and I knew it was designed to appeal to the more hard core Doms, it would be interesting in seeing how our parents react to this room as I know this is both our Fathers type of room.
Mother moves around the room, touching the equipment and furniture, and I can see both our Fathers starting to react to Mother's movements and when she opens the armoire and starts touching the toys inside, they make their move. Within minutes mother has said goodbye and our fathers are hurrying her away, leaving us alone with a bemused Geneva.
"What just happened?" she asked and I looked at Henry, how did we answer that, but Henry surprised me by calling her out.
"Exactly what you thought happened" he challenge her, it was clear to everyone in the room, what our Fathers were taking Mother home for.
"Does it bother you?" he asks softly stepping towards her.
"No" she denies but I see her peek at me, before looking down again.
"Show us the rest of the rooms, let's see what other magic you've created" Henry tells her with a smile and she darts another quick glance between us, before nodding.
"Geneva, use your words" I growl and watch her eyes widen before she replies quietly.
"Yes Alex"
We make our way through the other rooms before ending up back at the bar, joining James and Jayne for a coffee,
I watch as Geneva fidgets in her seat aware of our scrutiny and smile, focussing my conversation to James and Jaynes as Henry holds Geneva's hand, his long fingers caressing her wrist, stroking back and forth over her pulse point.
I was surprised when she didn't pull away and was glad to see her relaxing in his hold.
"How much more work is there to do?" Henry asked and Jayne answered for her.
"Two more days and everything will be in place, tested and checked off" she says with a smile and I grin.
"Congratulations you have done a wonderful job, everything I have seen looks incredible" I praise and watch Geneva's cheeks flush.
"So we will be set for the opening event on Friday evening?" Henry checks and Geneva nods.
"Yes, all of our cleaning contractors should be off site by Thursday morning, so we have 24 hours clear for you and your staff to get ready" she said softly.
"You'll come to the opening" I tell her, watching as she bites her lip, "Both of you of course" I add, ignoring Geneva and watching Jayne, who nods enthusiastically.
"We'd love to" Jayne replies and I hear Geneva growl under her breath as she looks at Jayne.
"Good, I will arrange a car for you both" I offer not wanting to give Geneva a chance to avoid coming and once again Jayne accepts for both of them.
