Something is going on and I want to know what, Geneva is being cagey and avoiding her older brothers whilst Paris keeps laughing at her, at least the youngest are away still with Amalie and the twins. I head out of the kitchen to see if I can find her.

"Mom, just leave it please" Gen says as I enter the lounge, finding her on her own.

I take a deep breath wanting to push her for an answer but knowing it will drive her into her shell. "Just promise me, it's nothing that will cause you any harm or hurt you, you're my little girl and I won't stand by and see you hurt" I say softly opening my arms for her and she steps into my hug staying silent.

"Genny, is it a boy, is that what's wrong?" I prompt.

"I wish, but no mom its not 'A' boy, it's... it's complicated"

"Men usually are dear, but remember you are a strong independent woman and have achieved your own business and a growing clientele all without using the Kingswood name. One day you will find a man who sees you not just your name" I tell her and watch a lone tear slide down her cheek.

"I think I already have" she whispers back and I hide my grin as I fold her into another hug before steering her towards the sofa.

"Tell me about him, I was lucky when I met your fathers that I had Lucy to bounce things off, I know I'm old now, but I promise talking can help"

"I don't know where to start..." she folds her legs up under her arms and rests her chin on her knees.

"What is his name?" I ask and watch a small smile appear.

"Their names Mom, that's part of the problem, there is two of them, they are so different... Alex is dark, abrasive and so bossy and Henry is charm and cheer and enthusiasm, they are both so incredibly good looking, way out of my league.." She trails off and I pat her knee.

"Thats total rubbish, no one is ever out of your league, I never want to hear you say that again, so there is two of them Henry and Alex, are they related?"

"Brothers" she groans.

"I don't see what the problem is, no one in this family would ever be upset with you finding two men to love, is it their parents, some of the older generation can be very narrow-minded" I soothe, surprised when Gen starts to laugh.

"Oh Mom, if only it was that easy, Alex and Henry get the whole unconventional relationship thing, their parents are in a menage relationship, they get the public eye bit as well, and the pressure of a family name, its me, I am the problem, how can I trust what I feel, I believed Robert loved me and he was just using me, I've already had someone they know start a rumour that affected my business, and yes, before you ask, I have dealt with that, it was the woman that Aunt Lucy told you about, and now they contracted me to design the interior of a club they own, so they are clients"

"Do they know about the rumour and who started it?"

"Yes, they had someone watching me, he told them about it" she whispers and I grin.

"Good and what did they do, I hope they dealt with them" I tell her.

"Mom" Gen looks at me shocked "I dealt with it, its all fine now and anyway, they have promised to be purely professional whilst they are my clients, I explained I had a no fraternisation policy with clients, and did you not hear me say they had someone following me!"

I laughed "Some men run with different rules, and there is nothing wrong with protecting you, especially the Alpha male variety, which is what I expect these are but I'm surprised they let you get away with the no fraternisation clause, what are they, alphas or gentile softies"

"Mom!"

"Gen, sweetie, it sounds like they would be perfect for you, you need someone or two that would support you in every aspect of your life while helping you in the areas you have been hurt before, I know its a risk, but that's what life is... for some time I worried what everyone would think about my relationship, we were in the public eye, our family names, everything seems too add to the stress, till I realised life is too short to live in fear, to hide from what you want"

"They're Dom's, they own a BDSM club, that's what I'm doing the interior for" she blurts out and my grin again becomes a laugh.

"Ohh, what fun, tell me more, have you been to the club" I tease her and watch as she blushes red and nods slightly.

"Did you enjoy it?" agains she nods and I sigh "Good, then you are healing from what that boy did to you, You should talk to Lucy, she and Paul have quite a lot of knowledge about that lifestyle" I say and watch her eyes widen.

"Aunt Lucy?"

"Yep"

She hangs her head and wraps her arms around her, before peaking up at me and I realise just how out of her comfort zone Gen is. "They agreed to be professional till the club is done, then... then, they said they would be coming for me" she whispers.

"Do you want them too?"

"I don't know" she cries softly.

"How would you feel if you saw them with another woman?" I push and watch the flash of pain cross her face.

"I'd hate it" she admits finally and I pat her shoulder, getting up as I hear footsteps approaching.

"Then do some research, have a look at the possibilities, watch them and ask questions, you have some time, use it to help you decide if you want to take this chance" I tell her, just as Hunter and Max enter the room.

"Hello Boys, where's Lily?" I hug each of them, but their eyes are on Geneva.

"Having a nap, in our rooms with Gaia, she's still feeling a bit out of sorts" Hunter says to me as Max, sits down next to Gen and pulls her into a hug.

"Be gentle with her" I warn Hunter quietly with a look at Geneva, before leaving them.
