The silence in the room is deafening as Hunter continues to glare at me. "How do you know our sister?" Maxwell asked and I smile, let the games begin.

"I attended an opening at the Chelsea hotel I mentioned, Geneva was there and her work impressed me, we had been thinking about bringing the club up to date and asked Geneva to design for us, she did and the work she has just submitted is incredible".
I pause and look at them "Now let me ask you a question, why didn't either of you suggest Geneva for this project"

Maxwell looked uncomfortable but Hunter answered, "Gen is still new, I didn't think she would have the experience needed for this job, and anyway it would be unethical to suggest my sister"
"Bullshit" I call and my eyes locked with Hunters.

"What's going on?" Tristan asked looking between all of us.  Seb laughed and patted his brother on the shoulder. "This is family drama, we don't need to be involved in" he said guiding Tristan out of the room with him.
"Take all the time you need" he told us before shutting the door.

"You're interested in Geneva" Maxwell stated and I watched his expressions as he realised something. "And your brother too" he added and I nodded.
"And how does Gen feel about this?" He questioned and I feel my lips lift.
"Ah, Geneva is currently hiding behind a no relationship with clients rule, but she is aware of our interest in her" I tell him, ignoring the heated looks from Hunter.
"She's been to the club?" Maxwell asks still digging for information.
"Yes, Alex rejected her first set of designs as too soft, we showed her around the club, for her to see everything our clients need, I received those designs today and they are perfect" I tell him, leaning back comfortably.
"And the club, how did she react?" Maxwell questioned and I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Why?"

Hunter continued to pace and scowl and I was surprised when Maxwell barked at him.  "Oh, Sit down Hunter!" Before turning his attention back to me.
"I know who you are, and how your family is set up, its as unconventional as ours, and how Seb's family is, but growing up, I don't know if it was the same for you but our family, our parents relationship, and our surname made it difficult at times"
I inclined my head in agreement, but kept my gaze fixed on Maxwell, waiting for him to continue.
"We got off quite easy, our friend group was far more accepting of our family situation and we didn't have too many issues, and we always had each other's backs, but the girls, well girls can be bitches and our sister met plenty of bitches"
"And?" I wait for him to get to the point.
"Paris, she grew a thick skin and twisted it to her advantage, using our name to handle the negativity, she dished out more than she took, but Gen, she's softer than all of us, it's why she uses Loxley, not Kingswood"

"What happened to her?" I ask, knowing there is more.
"She realised she was being used by her friends at school to get ahead and then she was set up by her supposed friends in college, a boy in their group, she thought he loved her, he led her on, gained her love and trust, then humiliated her quite publicly, after sleeping with her, and he shared that news as part of the humiliation, our parents dealt with it, there were photos at the time but they were all removed, however, now she finds it difficult to trust, she's very work focussed and keeps close to the family and a few select friends"

"Did you deal with him?" I snap at them.
"Yes, he got what he deserved, as did two faced bitch who set it all up" Hunter says.
"Who" I ask but Maxwell looks at me with a wry grin on his face.
"It was dealt with" he tells me but I shake my head.
"No, anyone who hurt her is not welcome in any of our businesses, I want their names, everyone involved, the whole group" I growl.
"Damn it, I really wanted to dislike you," Maxwell said and I smile back at him.

"Don't hurt her" Hunter adds and I nod.
"We don't intend to, but she's not an easy girl to get close to and as for the club, she was fascinated, scared of her own reaction to it but curious" I tell them and they both laugh with me.

"Look, Alex and I, we are looking for long term with Geneva, she fits with us and my brother, well, I've never seen him so focussed on a woman before, we will take it slow and show her the possibilities of a relationship with us, but we won't let her go easily, she's ours" I tell them.

"Good luck, you're going to need it, and... we will let Tristan know Gen's office details, maybe we were wrong not to give her a chance to at least tender a design" Hunter says, leaning back in his chair, more relaxed now.

"You should be proud of her, her work is incredible" I tell them and they both give me a funny look.
"No offence but I think you are biased, but let's wait and see what she can produce first, I'll agree to keep an open mind" Maxwell says getting up.
"We good?" I say getting to my feet and coming round the table to shake their hands.
Hunter laughs "We'll see, but yes, we are good, unless..." he says and I nod.
"I know" I laugh leading us out in the hallway where Seb eyes us cautiously.

"Everything settled?"
"Yes, I think we all know where we stand" Hunter tells him before ducking into Tristan's office to give him Geneva's details.
"When are you heading back?" He asks us.
"Tonight" I reply as Maxwell says their flights are tomorrow.
"Commercial?" Seb laughs at him and he nods and groans, "Yeah, the twins are using the plane, as they are travelling with their babies, so we got bumped off, it's a real pain as Lily's not been feeling too good and Gaia has been teething"

I listened in and realised another way of getting the brothers on our side. "You're welcome to come back with me, unless you have plans here for this evening" I offer and Seb gives me a thumbs up behind Maxwell's back.
"Hell, that would be great, if you don't mind" he says, turning to tell Hunter who just rejoined us.
"I'm scheduled to take off at 6, i will let them know you're coming and see you there" I say giving them all the details for the airport, before saying goodbye.

I call Alex on my way back to the hotel, but his phone just goes to message, "Call me, I need to update you on the meeting I've just had and I need you to meet me at the airport, I have Geneva's brothers flying home with me" I leave the message and settle back, looking forward to the evening ahead.
