Geneva's hand is warm in mine as I led her out through the now empty club, I couldn't believe she was giving us a chance and felt my own nerves at how easy it could be to scare her away. But she had surprised us already by telling us how she felt and when she growled at us to use our words, I felt that she was as invested as we were in seeing where this led.

The valet had left my car ready by the club door and I exchanged a smile with Alex once she was seated in the car.
"Where do you live?" she asked us softly as I started our drive.
"A little village just outside town, its a family house, that our parents gave us" Alex tells her and I grin to myself at his simple description of our home.

"Tell me more about you both" Geneva twists in her seat so she can see us both.
I laugh softly "Well how about a question for a question" I offer and she pouts as she thinks about it.
"Okay but no lies, if you don't want to answer something then just say so, no lies... and you each get a question to one of mine or its not fair"

"Done" Alex replies for the both of us "Ladies first" he tells her and she nods. "Why become a designer?"
I catch a fleeting look of surprise on her face, she wasn't expecting that question.

"It was my grandmother who suggested it, growing up we went to a lot of old historic places and I used to moan about how they had been done up, the latest trends stripping the soul from buildings and turning them all into the same old design. Grandma had asked a designer to look at the old carriage house to convert it to a guest suite and she showed me the designs he had submitted, knowing I would be interested, they were horrible and I told her so. She challenged me to do it better and I did, it was my first attempt at designing and it gave me such a feeling of satisfaction that it became my goal"

"How old were you?" Alex asks.
"Fifteen, up to that point I was looking at some form of art as a career but once I had done the first design I was hooked, it was the best of both worlds for me" she trails off a contented look on her face, till she realised it was her turn.

"What about you, what do you do, I know you have the club but I doubt that's all of it?" she asks.
"We help manage the family Hedge Fund business, our fathers are wanting to retire and are mentoring us to take over" Alex tells her and I add "Though they are pretty much out of the office completely now"

"Is that why you have invested in the island?"
"No, that was the Washington brothers persuading us that a new sort of resort was needed, catering specifically to those in alternative relationships, the Washington's are three brothers with one wife and have been friends of ours for years" I tell her.

"Why Alternative relationships?" Geneva questioned. I look at Alex passing, this one to him to answer.
"Growing up, there were a number of instances when our parents relationship led to unpleasant situations, some people took offence and would go out of their way to paint our parents as perverted, I'm sure you also had your own fair share of people expressing their opinions about your own parents. When the Washingtons decided they had found 'their one' they started to experience some of the negatives we had grown up with, It didn't stop them, it just made them more aware of the people around them and this island was their way of making a safe haven for families like ours" Alex explains and Geneva nods thoughtfully.

"Thats why the twins are involved?" she muses and I laugh.
"And with the Washingtons as friends it would be an attractive proposition" Alex adds before saying. "Our turn... what was it like growing up in such a big family?"

I could see her thinking about the question and from the expressions chasing across her face, she was struggling to find a way to describe it. "You don't have to answer" I remind her but she shakes her head before she answers.

"Lonely at times, the twins, both older and younger were always together and Paris was such a confident person, she embraced the crazy and made it her own. As you said people could be unkind, for me it was at school I struggled, our parents and at home it was busy, stressful but loving, Hunter and Max would boss us about and lecture us but with love in their hearts"

"And at school?" I ask, wondering if she will tell us what her brothers did.
"At school I was naive, I believed people to easily, at school I did a couple of years with a group of so called friends, before I realised they were just using me, latching onto my name, and then at university the same happened, now I am more careful" she explains sadly.

I exchange a look with Alex, he too is looking worriedly at her. we need to get her mood back up.
"Favourite colour?" I ask "Mines blue"

"Grey" she laughs.
"Green" Alex says, then asks. "Favourite food?"

"Salmon with buttery samphire" she sighs.
"Steak" Alex and I say together.

"Favourite animal?" she asks.
"Dog" Alex and I say together again and are rewarded by a giggle as she replies "Horse"

"We are here" I tell her turning down the drive towards the house, I watch as she leans forward in the seat to look at the house as we approach, the outside lighting making the golden stone of the building glow in the lights.

She's still looking at it in silence as I park and Alex opens her door, helping her out, and we chuckle as she continues to look as we lead her inside.

"Its wonderful" she breathes, spinning in the centre of the hall to take in the space around her.
I wave my arm at her "Feel free to explore, we will go and put the kettle on, the kitchen is down this hallway" I tell her pointing to the hallway, as she almost vibrates with excitement.

"Really?" she asks and we both nod. "yes really, go and take a look around" Alex tells her.
She flashes us a quick grin before turning and heading for the salon, her face lit up with anticipation as we watch her disappear. I look at Alex, "What just happened?" I ask bemused and he grins back as we head for the kitchen.

"I think she likes our home" he replies with a laugh
