I was getting closer to my due date, and my son was wearing my ass out. My back was constantly on fire and my ankles looked like pig feet. I was headed to my final appointment before giving birth and I was more ready than ever to see my baby boy.
"Up yours, asshole!" Keke yelled as she flipped a driver the bird.
"Ke, you think you can get me there without killin us or getting us killed?" I asked.
"He knew it was my fuckin light ! I'm- I'm sorry, Mo. You know this shit gets me nervous every time." Keke clutched the steering wheel.
"Girl, I'm a month away... the baby is damn-near here. Why you trippin?" I smirked.
"Because that's my nephew in there. I gotta make sure him and my baby girl are straight. Always, you dig?" She spoke.
"Fasho. Your nephew is fine. You guys have been amazing with me and him." I nudged her.
She smiled as she loosened her grip on the wheel.
"I wish Pac was here..." I exhaled.
"He is, girl!" Keke sang.
"In spirit?" I rolled my eyes, tired of hearing the same thing.
Keke said nothing.
"I know it gets old, Mo." She finally spoke.
"It sure does. I want my man back. I want him here to watch a part of him grow up. This is him inside of me, Ke. He should've been here." My eyes started to fog up.
"Lord, Mo. Please don't cry... we almost there, boo. Pac is with us. That's all you need to kn-"
"When you die, you gone. Ain't no spirit following us. Pac is gone and I know that, that's what's hurting me. I'll be fine, Ke. You a bomb ass friend; straight up, ride or die- I just need time to heal on my own, dig?" I exhaled.
"Pac loved you, Mo." Keke responded.
"I know."
"Well you know I love you too, right?"
"I love your gay ass, too."

"Look at my big boy..." I beamed at the sonogram.
"You can really see him clearly... he's so handsome! Ain't babies usually ugly at this stage?" Keke raised an eyebrow.
"Most of the time," the nurse laughed. "Looks like daddy." She added.
"I stared at the sonogram and saw he did have Tupac's nose.
"In fact, a perfect mix of the both you... do you see it?" She asked Ke.
"I was thinking that. He has Mo's lips. He gotta come on out." Keke placed her hands on her hips.
"He sure do. Mommy wants to see you, boo. She bout ready to get high again too." I raised an eyebrow.
"Whew, girl just a few more hours till I get off!" The nurse thought out loud.
"Y'all can get high?!" Keke exclaimed.
"Shoot, I do. This a hell of a job." The girl smiled. She was young but you could tell she had her shit together.
"Holy shit-I have an idea, you can spark up with us once Mo drops the prince!" Keke beamed.
I rolled my eyes.
"If that ain't the most ghetto-"
"I'd love too! Y'all can swing by my place! I have a nanny that could watch the kids in the daycare! We could spend the day jonesin and kid-free." The nurse grinned.
