I didn't want to leave his side. I looked into his eyes and just observed them. The only eyes to make me feel safe my entire life. This feeling was called love but felt like so much more. Something indescribable.

"Why do you still love me?" I asked.

"You're not exactly someone I can rip out of my heart. If I could I just might." He chuckled moving closer to rest his forehead against mine.

"Do you think we're soulmates?" I asked.

"Yeah. I never believed in that concept but now, I can't imagine it being with anyone else."

"How could anyone not love you?"

"You're asking a lot of questions." He chuckled.

"Sorry, just fascinated by you."

"I'm fascinated by you too." He replied

"Maybe fascination will be our always." I laughed quoting the fault in our stars.

"Cheesy, but I like it." He mumbled.

It had even several days since I had last seen Ethan. We were texting again and calling each other but still, I didn't know where this was heading.

I walked into Walmart and browsed through the hair dye isle. I grabbed a box of blind hair dye and jogged to the checkout because Sandra was waiting for me in the car.

"The fuck I thought you were getting us snacks?" She asked.

"Yeah if I had said hair dye would you have driven me here? Yeah no." I said and she shrugged.

"So you wanna go blonde?"

"Yeah. I was some change." I sighed as we pulled out of the car park.

"You can literally rearrange your room like I did but oh well. I'm not judging."

"Shut up. We all know how you chopped off your hair when you had a minor breakup." I laughed.

"Okay we agreed never to talk about that again you broke the contract!" She yelled.

"Whoops."

We drove back to my aunts house and sat on the toilet floor as Sandra applied hair dye to my hair. The smell made my eyes tear up and gasp for air. I covered my nose with my t-shirt and breathed in my warm body air.

"This smells like literal shit." She announced.

"Doesn't smell like my shit so what exactly have you been eating."

"Shut up." Said said smacking my head.

"Hey! Your damaging a future doctors head here!"

"Well this doctor better shut up before I accidentally dye her eyebrows blonde too."

That shut me up.

"How's everything with Ethan going now?" She asked quietly.

"I'm not even sure. I just know I love him but..."

"Your not ignoring him again are you?"

"No... we've been talking a lot lately it's just it almost seems like it's more for his sake. I don't want to lose him. It's not as simple as saying we should just be friends because we all know that's impossible."

"I mean you could at least try?" Sandra suggested.

"It wouldn't work. I love him more than anything and we wouldn't be able to see other people whilst still being around each other. Well, at least I can't."
