Katie woke up before Fern, and saw something over her leaf blanket. It looked like a fire, but it was frozen in time. Katie picked it up.
"I think Fern left this for me." Said Katie.
Katie walked into the other room. Fern was sleeping on the rock floor.
"Fern, did you give this to me?" Asked Katie.
"Huh?" Asked Fern "Oh, I gave that to you last night. I thought I could keep it, but I think it would be good for you."
"Thanks." Said Katie. "Do you want to leave this island? My boat is fixed, and I'm ready to go."
"I don't know, Katie." Said Fern. "But I have been on this island for many years. Maybe I should go on."
"I think you should." Said Katie.
"I have decided I want to go!" Exclaimed Fern bravely.
"Let's go then!" Said Katie excitedly.
They hopped out of the cave and onto the rocks. They kept walking until they got to Katie's boat.
"Hop on." Said Katie.
Katie and Fern went on the sailboat. They sailed until they couldn't see the island. It only took one hour.
"What do we have to eat?" Asked Fern as Katie put the Fire Stone into a satchel she forgot that was on the boat.
"I stored up some strawberries, starfruit, coconuts, and blueberries."
"I understand all of that except for your 'blueberries'". Said Fern.
"Well, eat up!" Katie Said as she opened the food basket inside the boat.
Fern used a rock to cut the starfruit and coconuts open.
"These are great!" Said Fern.
"Island... ahead?" Asked Katie
Was it an island? Yes, but is it two? Yes. The island had a river going through it. Katie sailed it into the lake and tied a rope from the boat to the tree.
"We'll stay here." Said Katie.
"Okay then." Said Fern. "This is an unusual place.
Katie landed on the island to the right. She walked through the hills and then turned around at the end of the path, which leaded to sand.
On the left was a waterfall and a pool, and on the right, the hill is stone and has a lot of ripples, with water coming down it. The rest is grass, hills, not many bushes, and some rocks.
"I think we can stay in the Waterfall." Said Katie.
"What!?" Fern said surprised.
Katie walked past a bush and into the waterfall. Inside, there was a cave, with crystals on the walls and light coming through the top. There was a stone that looked like an ottoman, but Katie wanted nobody to touch it, not even her.
"It's safe, but don't touch the ottoman thingy!" Katie Yelled to Fern, because he was far away.
Fern went through the waterfall and into the cave.
"Brr! Sure is cold." Said Fern.
"We will live here until tomorrow." Said Katie. "Get some leaves, and I'll find food on the other island."
"Got it." Said Fern, and they both went out of the cave.
