Katie woke up, with the boat somewhere in the ocean. The moon was still up, high and in the middle of the sky.
"Follow the wind." Katie thought.
Katie noticed the wind was rowing southeast, so she paddled that way. Everything was fine, the water was nice, and the moon was still up.
But suddenly, the waves grew higher. The waves splashed Katie out of her boat! Katie didn't see her boat anywhere! Katie swam towards wherever, then, another wave crashed.
Katie slowly opened her eyes. She was on top of some sand. There was another cat on top of her, a brown cat with darker spots.
"Are you okay? Hello?"
"I'm fine." Said Katie. "Where am I?"
"Well, not on that boat wreck that is probably yours." Said the cat. "Is it yours?"
"My boat!" Katie worriedly stared at her boat. "It's wrecked!"
"Well, you'll be here for a few days." Said the cat. "I'm Fern."
"I'm Katie." Said Katie. "How did you end up here?"
"I was always here."
"Well, Fern," Said Katie, "I don't know what to do here."
"I thought you knew." Said Fern.
Katie thought for a moment.
"Well, I'll go find shelter." Said Katie."I have shelter." Said Fern. "Follow me!"
