"Where am I?" Asked Katie.
"Welcome to my store." Said a mysterious cat. "Choose what you would like."
"I want one thing." Said Katie, "All I want is to get out of this store!"
"Only after you buy something." Said the cat.
"What happened to Katie?" Fern Asked.
"There has been a problem where the king had thrown many cats into the dungeon for having a weapon." Said Queen Sapphire. "Many cats have gone missing, then came back with a weapon."
"But they broke the rules!" Said King Calico. "Don't you understand?"
"Fern, find Katie." Said Queen Sapphire. "Quick!"
"Could I have this stone?" Asked Katie, pointing to a stone that looked like a cloud.
"If you buy something else, you can buy that for free." Said the cat.
"I forgot," Said Katie, "I have no money."
Katie felt something on her head. She grabbed it.
It was a Cloud Dollar.
"Never mind." Katie said. "I'll get this... uh... longbow and that stone."
"Pay, please."
Katie gave the black, shadowy cat the Cloud Dollar.
"Thanks." Said the cat, and it pulled a rope.
A trapdoor of light opened. Katie climbed out with the longbow and the stone. Far away, she can hear something.
"Katie! Katie!"
It was Fern.
"Get that longbow out of your hand!"
"But it'll be useful!" Said Katie. "Why?"
A cloud flew by Katie. She shrugged and got on the cloud.
"Don't get on that-"
Katie was too late. The cloud flew into the air.
"Where is it taking me?"
The cloud took her to the back of the castle. The cloud flew her down by a door.
"You want me to go in there?" Asked Katie.
The cloud flew away.
Katie went through the door. She saw a cat sitting down by the wall of the place, wherever she was. It was a calico cat who looked depressed, and would always be. Suddenly, a cloud door closed behind her.
"It's solid." said the cat. "Don't even try."
"Are you okay?" Asked Katie.
"No." the cat responded. "I'll never get the crown back from the Shadow-Shifter."
"What are you talking about?"
"What do you mean?" asked the cat. "I'm King Calico!"
