Katie heard a sound. Leaves rustling. She saw a bush on top of the rippled-rock hill. The bush has never been there before, and Katie said to herself,
"I'm being watched."
Katie turned around for a long time, because she knew some cats can sneak up on her, and they did. Then she turned around and the bush was gone. Beside her, on the left was a bush, and on the right, another! The right bush had never been there before. Never.
"What are you doing?" Katie Asked the bush.
The cat jumped right out of the bush and asked, "How did you know?"
Katie Asked again. "What are you doing?"
"My cats lived on this island for many years." Said the brown cat. "Then they were sad when the two islands split. So they gave their life to the Phoenix, and nothing happened."
"Why didn't you go with?" Asked Katie.
"They said I was the most important, for these two Brightstones communicate with the Sun and Moon. They need me here to communicate."
"I have many questions," Said Katie, "Why you?"
"Some of the cats were evil." Said the brown cat. "I, Flower, was chosen."
"May we live by one of the Brightstones?" Asked Katie.
"Go ahead." Said Flower. "You were living in the Moon cave."
Katie walked away to find some food. When she turned around, the bush and the brown cat turned into a pile of six squirrels.
"These will be good for now." Said Katie, and carried them to the cave.

"Did you find any food?" Asked Fern as Katie went through the waterfall.
"I did." Said Katie. "Six squirrels."
"That should be good for now." Said Fern.
Katie ate two squirrels and Fern ate one. Katie notices Fern usually eats slowly, but that didn't matter.
"It's about sunset." Said Fern, "We should get going."
"How do you know?" Asked Katie.
"The shadows point the way of the sunset." Said Fern, "Now, let's get going."
Katie thought for a moment.
"We should stay here for the night, or we would get lost again." Said Katie. "Don't want to get lost in the night."
"Good idea, I didn't think of that." Said Fern.
When Katie walked out, she saw one bird. Another good source for food.
"Anyway," Katie Said while she walked back through the waterfall, "I found a cat living on this island who allowed us to stay here. There's giving us many food."
"That's nice to make new friends." Said Fern. "What do you have there? Is that a bird?"
"It is." Said Katie, "I'll put it on the food pile."

While Katie was sleeping, she had a dream. There was two cats, one as dark as nothingness, and one as white as a flashing bright light. Katie was then, somehow back at her house. She remembered she lived at the equator, so it was easy to sail anywhere, and it was warm. After thinking, a map appeared and some red lines showed. The lines were going down...

(I am pasting this from my own google doc. Also, these cats would do anything to survive, and if that's weird, well, I wrote this when I was younger and wanted to finish it.)
