When I reach my hand up to the sky,
I feel the water pull me closer to the bottom.
It feels more than just airless here.
My body does not feel weightless like
All of those stories told me.
When I shut my eyes under water,
I feel the sensation of the ocean in my eyes.
This is how I'll go.
A corpse in the ocean.
I wish I could just die painlessly,
But alas I cannot swim through
All of the pain that this water brings.
How sad the story of the girl
Thrust into the water like a rag-doll,
Hoping she could swim.
Yet she only sunk deeper until she
Hit the bottom.
It looks like I'm almost there.
It looks like, though I can't see or feel
Anything this far down, that the
Ocean has taken every single limb
And has given me the ability to
Swim.
I think I'll choose to sink.

PoetryI've never been a poet, that much is certain, but I can tell you that it does get written. A lot. These are the collections of my poetry I've written, and some of them hit hard for me.
