The thing about happiness
Is that it does not exist
All the time. In fact,
There's a certainty that
It will return when
You expect it least.
I do not expect
To receive that kind
Of emotional repose.
I expect nothing
In a world of surprises.
Sometimes it's better
When you don't know.
